Earlier today, members of Ukrainian feminist group Femen staged protests across Europe as they called for a "topless jihad." The demonstrations were in support of a young Tunisian activist named Amina Tyler. Last month, Tyler posted naked images of herself online, with the words "I own my body; it's not the source of anyone's honor" written on her bare chest. The head of Tunisia's "Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice," reportedly called for Tyler to be stoned to death for her putatively obscene actions, lest they lead to an epidemic. Tyler has since gone quiet, leading some to fear for her safety. Below are images from Femen's protests today in Sweden, Italy, Ukraine, Belgium, and France. A warning, nearly every photo depicts nudity, and most contain offensive language. [31 photos]

    >>Wow, Finally..... Finally the social protesters are picking on the correct targer
Well, it’s not a conversion. They also celebrated the Pope’s resignation, calling him a homophobe.

    You think they’re stupid?
I think these left-wingers actually attacked the right target for once. I can’t say they did it with grace - but they held up a mirror to Islam.
I’ll give them kudos for that, and for their bravery.

In some settings...a guy just has to "cop" a feel, obviously. No bear breasts allowed at the bazaar, no matter how bizzare the results of grabbing them, to keep anybody from looking at them.

Imagine if Bill Clinton were still in office. He’d have to go to the site and personally support these women.

I give them a lot of credit for targeting Islam, the real enemy.
Even being carried away these women did not stop screaming and yelling.
You have to admire their tenacity.
They’ve got balls.

At least it isn’t like nude protests in America where the morbidly obese are the majority of those who dare to bare.

The question becomes, have they removed the beard of the prophet?
This protest simply does not go far enough.

Good to see someone brave enough to openly protest Islam in a very public way.
Yes, they are also just as rabidly against Judaism and Christianity, but at least they are consistent. This gives them far more credibility and intellectual honesty than most media outlets.
