In an extreme survival situation where the appropriate amount of ammunition for the type of firearm youre carrying cant necessarily be guaranteed, what would you do? Carry multiple types of firearms to increase your chances of coming across ammo you can use? You could do that, or you could have an adapter system that comes in a handy pouch that allows one 12-gauge shotgun to take 11 different types of ammunition.
The creator of Gear Ups X Caliber Shotgun Gauge Adapter System, Tim Ralston, told TheBlaze its like carrying 11 guns in one.

Only works on a single-shot shotgun, but.. Kinda cool, huh?

Nothing new. Been around for years. Shooting a rifle cartridge from a 4-inch barrel ain’t really that great an idea.

This is a product by the moron that shot himself on YouTube. I think I’ll avoid his products. Besides, I can make them for under five bucks each - easily (and that is rifled). Unrifled, it would be a buck, at best.

I love my rifle/shotgun. You can change the barrel for either 22 rifle or 20 gauge shotgun.
$200 at Walmart. If I run out of ammo for one, can just replace barrel for the other.

The bag to carry all of those adapters would weigh 50 lbs.

You can go to youtube and watch a guy shoot a 50 BMG in a 12ga shotgun. It stayed together and went through 4’ of water. A 410 shotgun can shoot 45 colt and these same guys on youtube loaded up a “special” 454 casull and blew the 410 up. There are adapters to shoot 32 auto in a 30 caliber. There are lots of fun ways to wreck a gun and may be even enter you in the Darwin awards group.

I doubt you will see any 1000 or even 250 yard bucks with these, but as a handy dandy survival or trail gun it could be a winner. Interchangeable barrels have been around for single shots for many many years, but this is pretty novel. I would love to try it. 500 bucks and a 200 dollar shotgun? Could be worth it in fun, if nothing else.

One of those in .44 mag. would sctratch my itch, but $2000??
I dunno..........wonder how many they actually sell.

Looks like a perfect SHTF solution to having multiple firearms if forced to travel and scrounge for ammuniton.
I wonder if there's any single break barrel shotguns which can accomodate a scope?
To: Daffynition
Amazing when you think about it. The Co-Pilot is based on a 150 year-old design: The Henry Rifle that Abraham Lincoln first test fired during the Civil War. The Henry Rifle led to the first Winchester, the Model 1866.
