MOUNT HOREB, Wis. -

A Mount Horeb police officer arrested on suspicion of sexual assault of a child in Madison has resigned, according to the Mount Horeb police department.

Dennis P. Jenks, 44, told police he tried to confirm the age of the 14-year-old boy he admits to having sexual contact with, according to a criminal complaint. Madison police arrested Jenks at his home in the 6600 block of Raymond Road on Madison's far west side Feb. 13.

Jenks was on unpaid suspension during the investigation. He was a lieutenant and had been with the department since 2000.

The criminal complaint states that the 14-year-old boy told investigators he met Jenks on an online chat website and they met for the first time in September 2012. He said he moved in with Jenks in October and stayed until the day Jenks was arrested.

Jenks told an investigator when he questioned the boy about his age the boy said he was 18. Jenks said he attempted, through various means, to confirm the boy's age but was unable to do so. The boy admitted to police he used a false name, according to the criminal complaint.

The boy told police he remembered Jenks telling him he was not trying to be rude with regard to his age, but that he could lose his job.

Jenks is free on a signature bond. He is subject to bail monitoring and was ordered to have no contact with the victim.

The 14-year-old boy is also involved in a sexual assault case involving a Middleton man. The former church music director has been charged with two counts of sexual assault of a child.

Democrats on socialist networking sites like Faceboot have been saying that all love is equal.

Who are "we" to judge?

The sex positive agenda marches on.

Couldn't he have just married the young man so that it would be okay?

Wisconsin ping. I don’t know much about Mt. Horeb, except that when I was processing recall signatures last year for True the Vote, I had a lot of signatures from Mt. Horeb. Is it a hotbed of liberalism?

The Left didn't like the "if all things are 'marriage' then the term means nothing anymore" line of reasoning, why don't we just call all legal pairings "civil unions" just as Easter and Christmas may no longer be called those names by civic and corporate and academic entities?

Also, why can't two old siblings get married to shield their wealth from the IRS? Plenty of elderly siblings live together, DO NOT HAVE SEX, and yet would be put in jeopardy if one had to pay out the estate to the government.

Why can't a cat lady include at least one pet under her medical plan since she has no spouse?

Why why why?

Does it strike anyone else as odd that the same boy is involved in two different cases?

Sounds like the 14 year old is a con artist who gets what he can from unsuspecting men and then turns them in while he goes on to the next. Not excusing the men or their sick deviant behaviors but there's more than enough blame to go around.

Who hired him? Was it another “fellow traveler” in the gay/libtard movement?

They are purposely infiltrating the administrations of this country and promoting themselves to the highest level.

I have read many things about the German SS being full of them. How else can you get people to do what they did, except to hire those with no moral compass.

It makes no difference how old the boy is, this creep has no business being a cop.

The fully grown men *chose* to believe the kid.

Their culpability is greater, and revealing that they really *don’t* have any moral objections against sexual contact with minors of the same sex.

I’m sure that would be as “Mohammed approved” as would this father’s marriage to his daughter, who “didn’t get mad like in the past” when he touched her inappropriately.

--too close to Madison for comfort-

-a few years ago, on the way home from Madison airport, dodged in there for a cup of coffee and had to negotiate about a dozen (it seemed like) roundabouts before coming to a filling station---never again---

Don’t you hate those round abouts? We managed to stop the construction of one near our house and got lights installed instead. That is because the understructure for the lights was already installed just waiting to be finished and installing the lights would be MUCH cheaper than a roundabout.

But I couldn’t believe the dedication the State has to round abouts. I learned that NO intersection in rural Wisconsin can be considered for improvement without the state putting in a roundabout. I am now surrounded by them in West Bend, Port Washington, Erin, etc. But we stopped the one in Mequon!

I think they are ugly, possibly dangerous (when icy, and take up way too much land. But, that’s JMHO.

They have an auction house there that fronts all kinds of stolen goods. I never bought anything, because it’s so obvious. To bad the police haven’t got a clue about Mt. Horeb’s criminal wrongdoing. Maybe they’ll read my post and have one.
