CHELSEA Clinton is planning to adopt a baby from Africa.
The former First Daughter, 33, decided on the surprising maternity plan after watching both parents Bill and Hillary Clinton battle potentially deadly health problems while shes struggled to get pregnant.
After years of worrying that shed lose her dad Bill to a heart attack, Chelsea flipped out when her mom Hillary was hospitalized with a blood clot near her brain, a source told American tabloid the National Enquirer.
The clot was successfully treated and Hillary is out of the woods, but the incident made Chelsea realize that life can turn on a dime.
Bill who had emergency quadruple bypass surgery in September 2004 and had two stents inserted in a clogged heart artery in February 2010 has confessed that he longs for grandchildren.
Im determined to live to be a grandfather, the 66-year-old politician admitted in a candid TV interview last October. But I just think the older you get, the more you want every year to count.
Since the interview, Chelsea has been more determined than ever to give her parents a grandchild as soon as possible and adopting an African baby is her new maternity plan, said the source.
Besides that, her parents will be over the moon. In light of the familys humanitarian values, nothing could be more rewarding than for Chelsea to give a needy baby a forever home.
Chelsea has a heart of gold, and recently everything from her parents health crises, to her and Marcs inability to conceive and her familys special devotion to the black community came together in her mind.
She realized that adopting an African child would be a good idea if she couldnt get pregnant.
And as the daughter of a former president and former secretary of state, she can cut some corners when it comes to the red tape of the adoption process.
For now, Chelsea is doing everything she can to jump-start the adoption process. Its possible a child could be selected in the next few months.
Very appropriate since Bill was the actual first black President. They could adopt an very white South African too.
That’s not the in thing. Libs don’t buy honky Africans.
The reason she can’t conceive is obvious . . . it’s right there in the picture . . . I see it . . . don’t you?
An Irish African?
Maybe, my own children have had problems, though. I got married at 21 (DH was 25) but my kids got married at 28. waiting to have a child was not what they hoped. Maybe just the waiting is what’s doing it but they were the same age I was when I had my second child.
LOLOL!
“a paper bag might help.”
And they could double there chances with...two bags!
Might have something to do with Chelsea’s DNA and “who’s your daddy”.
My wife and I went through 6 years of fertility issues before having our boy/girl twins (now 21 years old) so I know a little about this. We were about to consider adoption.
The grandparents never said anything about wanting to be grandparents, probably because they already WERE grandparents. But I bet that Bill and Hillary, while welcoming an adopted grandchild, would not totally equate an adopted grandchild with one made “the old fashioned way.” I hope that I am wrong, but I know that when my wife and began to discuss adoption, that we’d love our child, but it would be different than “having our own.”
Hell....We just opened the doors...
Grandma Hillary would then have a black baby to haul around on the campaign trail to get black votes. The timing is perfect for that.
Fertility rates decline after a woman turns 30. So if we follow the new paradigm of high school, college, start career, then marriage and then finally baby, modern western women have lost their most fertile years!
Chelsea adopting a British subject??
didn't the newly married groom take off for parts unknown right after the wedding?
Bet he refuses to have sex with her!
that’s the first thing that came to my mind too.
The wait will do it. My wife and I waited too long and ended up adopting. We did all the testing and could have gone the hi-tech route, but that’s expensive with no guarantees, and meanwhile kids are sitting in orphanages waiting for homes. It was the right choice for us.
