On May 28, 2008, Adam LeWinter and Director Jeff Orlowski filmed a historic breakup at the Ilulissat Glacier in Western Greenland . The calving event lasted for 75 minutes and the glacier retreated a full mile across a calving face three miles wide. The height of the ice is about 3,000 feet, 300-400 feet above water and the rest below water.

But the last 10 seconds of global warming B.S. at the end of the video just spoiled the amazing fun of watching it.

Amazing video. We know it’s enormous, but it is sooo big that there is no way to get any perspective from the camera..no reference point. It could be 100 ft long, or 1,000 feet, or 1 mile long..

Yup. I wish they’d just stuck to the d*mn facts of the calving and left editorializing out.
To: Doogle
The real logic of it is that the level of ice backing up that glacier and moving it outward so such a huge calving can occur indicates the opposite of global warming. Nothing in nature is static and there is no "ideal" temperature. Nature does not give a s*** about whether we exhale a bit more this year as opposed to last. She will handle it in stride and the plant life, if it could, would thank us for the extra breathable gas.
