Did anybody else here happen to be looking into the north sky and see a star get really bright and then just wink out???
I was standing on my back deck having a cigar and looking up at the north by northeast sky and was looking at a patch of sky (the night sky is very clear tonight here in NH) and saw a star twinkle for a second or two, then it got really bright, brighter than any other star out tonight. Then it just winked out and was gone.
If you looked up and find the Big Dipper and and draw a line between the last star on the handle and the North Star, then go to the 1/2 point on the line and then go down about 1/3 the distance of the line on a 90 degree angle ... that is where the star was.
Just wondering if anyone else just happend to be looking up at the sky tonight.
“On a related note, I can see Uranus on my TV every time Obama is making a Speech.”
That is Ananus, but it’s not Uranus.
Right you are my Friend!
I’d say Obama is a Horses A$$, but I don’t like offending Horses.
I know what that’s like. Mrs. Baldwin and I had to catalog our books on a handheld computer so that we wouldn’t keep buying duplicate copies when we couldn’t remember that we had already bought something.
Anyway, I couldn’t resist the opportunity. Glad you didn’t take offense.
Alta, about a million years from now the human race will have crawled up to where the Krell stood in their great moment of triumph and tragedy. And your father's name will shine again like a beacon in the galaxy. It's true, it will remind us that we are, after all, not God.
it died thousands of years ago..and it has been one of the brightest stars in the night sky, until yes, it blinked out as the last of the visible light rays reached earth. And the the red star above orions belt, beetleguise, will go super nova next. could be any time. and we can see it with our naked eye, since its very close..we will be bombarded with neutrino burst, but no we will not die.
When I started to read this, I thought, ‘Hey, the same thing just happened to me.’ I was out on my balcony looking at stars, when I saw something flash out of the corner of my eye. I looked over, and nothing was there, but then, it flashed again. It’s flash was brighter than the other stars, but then is was gone again. I kept watching, but nothing again. When I continued reading, I freaked out. The star I saw was in the EXACT place you described, no joke. Does anyone have an explanation, because I am officially creeped out.
Probably another star going Supernova and another Black Hole is born.
