Interesting stuff. I will have to find out more. Thanks.
I’m not smiling.
(But then ... I rarely do.)
"and may God's love be with you me.." LOL!
I met a guy who was in Nam and he said his unit had a pet monkey that they would take in their jeep and they’d smoke pot and the monkey loved to get high. It’s no wonder we had a tough time there.
The monkey probably liked the Doors, too.
I know exactly what lowered the bar in music but I can’t say it here.
Cool!
If he’d imitated his death, I’d have tuned in.
Heh.
Cute.
>”The Doors Live at the Bowl 68 was on public television station the other night”<
I was there. Damn I’m old.
You forgot the part where he pulled the girl’s hair, Gloria was her name IIRC. (see tagline)
It was years before I had heard about the album “An American Prayer” by the Door’s remaining members with tapes of Morrison’s poems/songs dubbed in.

That is my favorite one.
“Shake dreams from your hair my pretty child my sweet...”
Heh.
Bruce Springsteen And Neil Young Sing "Whip My Hair" (Jimmy Fallon)
What I find really funny about this one is that Fallon does a better Neil Young impression than the real Bruce Springsteens impression of himself. : )
Fallon also does a pretty good Bob Dylan.
"Bob Dylan Sings 'Charles In Charge'" - Jimmy Fallon (YouTube Presents)
Wow I never saw that one before, jeezus this guy can do anybody. I would say that Dylan one is spot on as well. Yeah Springsteen doesn’t sound like himself I guess cause he’s trying to do an impersonation of himself lol. I actually was in an elevator with that guy in the early 80s. I was a bike messenger in New York city and got in an elevator and this dude was in there who basically looked like a punk, and as we were going up he looked familiar and I realized who it was so I said “The Boss!” and he started cracking up. I should have got his autograph. This was before Born in the USA before he hit the really big time. I only recognized him because a friend of mine was always playing Darkness on the edge of town and I remembered the album cover. He looked just like that, even the same coat. Probably one of the last few times he could waltz around the streets without being recognized by everybody.
That is true.
