Last year National Review magazine started running a piece by James Lileks in every issue. I am ashamed to say I had never heard of him, although his humor is quite good (better than P J O'Rourke even). And he is, of course, a conservative.
Anybody familiar with his work?

WARNING! The carrots here are not to be eaten. Your manly meat-a-rifficness will diminish if you eat the carrots. Vegetables are for commies.
Did people every actually eat some of those recipes?
He is one of Hugh Hewitt’s personal circle of associates.
That was just amazing. Man, so much shag carpet in one place...
He used to be on Hugh Hewitt;s show at least once a week, and he is the QUICKEST and FUNNIEST THINKER I’ve ever heard!!! I miss hearing him since I can;t listen to Hughie anymore!
He wrote a book called Interior Desecrations.
I think he wrote a food one too.
Yep, here it is...The Gallery of Regrettable Food. :)
This one looks good:
Thank you Mrs. Cleaver. And might I add you look quite stunning today.....saaay - isn’t that Mr. Lilek’s car parked around back?.....
LOL!!
Thank you Eddie...you devil. ;)
