World's Biggest Revolver Fired Successfully
So this is fun.
A guy in Poland built a gigantic revolver. Then he fired it.
RT reports that "It took Mr (Ryszard) Tobys around 2,500 hours to construct, since most of the parts had to be built by hand."
The revolver fires 5 oz. bullets and is supposedly certified by Guinness World Records. The Pentagon has not yet contacted Tobys for potential contracts.

28mm would be 1.10 caliber or what we would call a 110 caliber if I did the math right. Think about that, a bullet over an inch in diameter. THAT’s gonna leave a mark.

Now what was the point of building that stupid thing? What good is it? It probably weighs 30 times more than the average impromptu rocket launcher, and you have to manufacture the bullets one at a time over a period of weeks. Some people have way to much time on their hands, and not enough real enginuity to make it practical in the real world.

I’m thinking an even more effective and perhaps desirable load for this puppy would be 5 oz kielbasas.

Now what was the point of building that stupid thing? Why not? Why build a "Monster Truck"?
(Because you want to! That's why!)
What good is it?
Well, it got him in the Guinness Book of World Records...and international notoriety as well--without harming anyone. Nothing wrong with that.

I would love to make one as well but instead a 4 foot long 1911.First thing I thought of when I read that was the force of that 35 pound slide coming back when fired. But then I thought about trying to rack the slide to load the thing, with a stack of railcar springs for the recoil spring.

Hmm, it’s a black powder pistol.
Oh well, I still want a bolt-action, 25mm, anti-material rifle. Now THAT would be fun. It might not be as big in diameter, but talk about “reach out and touch someone”. (WEG)

Beautifully insane replica charcoal burner !!
