Helicopter pilot spots a model plane stuck in trees. What he does next makes one little boy's day.

Nice to get a smile while the country goes insane around us.

Indeed- I have that same feeling.
Loved it- used to be a student pilot in R-22s.

Beyond amazing.. An eagle would be jealous of that pilot’s eye sight, wow.
To: bigbob
Too bad he ruined it with his cussing. I’m not posting it on Facebook. I have great nephews who watch that stuff.

In 1974 I was flying an Army helicopter over Fort Jackson when the MPs called on range control freq & said an R/C model airplane had disappeared in the woods near the parade ground where it had taken off from. I did a gridiron search & located the model lying upside down about 200 yards into the woodline. Saved the hobbyists a lot of time and it was fun.
Coming to a hover over a tree to pluck a model out of the branches might have been tricky as well a flight safety violation. Anyway, glad they recovered it.

You should see FT Jackson now. It’s a wonderful base.
Thanks
