NEW YORK (AP) McDonald's is getting rid of its Chicken Selects and Fruit & Walnut Salad and considering cutting Angus burgers as it tries to freshen up its menu with more limited-time items.
The world's biggest hamburger chain recently introduced Fish McBites and is planning a new McWrap chicken sandwich that will be larger than its Snack Wraps.

Where do you find a Micky D's with Pepsi. All the ones that I've been to have been Coke territory.
I’m not sure where they get their chickens but...
CHICKENS DON”T HAVE FINGERS!
Don't eat at McDonalds. Ever. Well, their coffee is OK. But never eat the food. It is not food, as I understand food.
McMichelles and McObamasses?
And emetics?
No control sample.
Are we supposed to assume that is unique vs one I cook at home?
Chernobyl? ;-)
Do chickens have hands?
Yet another unintended consequence of the McSequester....
hamburgers taste better made at home anyways
indeed! the “g” in angus appears to be superfluous...?
I never whined. There was ALWAYS something for me to eat.
We like to eat at http://mightyfineburgers.com/#/home in the Austin area. They grind the meat at each location daily, hand form the patties and have the best sides anywhere. Dang. I’m hungry now.
That sounds good.
BTW, I know someone who wants to move to the Austin area by summer, any good real estate websites covering down there?
They should also drop the oatmeal from the breakfast menu. All those apples in it makes it way too acidic for early morning. Does anybody still eat that oatmeal?
It’s actually weirder than that. While the meat is from beef steers, it is heavily processed, more like pink slime, and the fat is added from dairy cows. In processing, while the meat is being ground and reground, they add big slabs of fat to get the exact fat content they want. Then the only other ingredients are salt and pepper.
One rumor about adulteration was that they added earthworms, not only false and McD’s has no sense of humor about it and sues; but as someone pointed out, earthworms are much more expensive than beef. A burger made of worms would probably cost $15 or more for just a single patty.
What area? I have few neighbors and a Lions’ Club member that are realtors. All are about 35 miles NW of Austin, but have connections in the city limits. I’d advise them to stay out of Austin city limits and look at the suburbs.
If that was a money maker it would be on the menu. It’s just that simple. They went with a fad and the fad faded.
I found a site called teamensor.com that is pretty cool.
My sister would “like” to live near UT-Austin because my niece is going to be attending there.
