All the libertarians need to get off of my roads and build their own.

Libertarianism is a cult, with its prophet(Ayn Rand), their holy Scriptures(Ayn Rand’s books)etc.

Someone needs to tell Coulter she was irrelevant even before she supported Romney.

Libertarian on Social Issues = Liberal on Social Issues

Of course, most libertarians will not admit it.

This nation is being torn to shreds by Obama and his communist friends, and these two decide to engage in kabuki theater.

I like Stossel, don’t always agree, but his positions are well thought out, and stable.

Coulter is an attention whore. It seems she will say or do whatever it takes to get in the public eye. I’m not a fan.

At least Coulter remains steadfast on stopping illegal immigration, and seems to one of the few Republican voices who understands that the illegal invasion and any concessions to it like amnesty, are existential issues far more important than gay marriage and sequestration.

““First of all, for alleged individualists, you’re very mob-like,” Coulter said. “Second of all, it is my business because we are living in a welfare state … Right now, I have to pay for, it turns out, coming down the pike, your health care. I have to pay for your unemployment when you can’t hold a job. I have to pay for your food, for your housing. Yeah, it’s my business!”

Love it!

Quite disappointed with Stossel, he’s usually on his game.

He could have brought up a myriad of topics (SS, Medicare, EPA, DoEduc., TSA, etc.) but chose to use ‘pot’ (when he should have brought up the WoD)?

More so he and crowd allowed the ‘Welfare State’ response. She should have been shouted down with a reaffirmation we are a Constitutional Republic; let alone the idea of a welfare state as a ‘valid form of gov’t’ that she and her GOP backed goonies have only expanded when they could.

This isn’t really Politics.

It is merely Entertainment.

People who really care about Politics wouldn’t even discuss these topics. These are small potatoes, when our entire government system is being butchered. Obama ignores Congress and governs by Executive Order. The Supreme Court sees Obamacare as both a tax and a non-tax simultaneously. The Senate won’t vote on a budget. The Democrats push Sequestration and then want the public to blame Republicans for it.

If you want to talk Politics, then talk Politics.

Watching good friends argue over homosexual marriage and marijuana is merely Entertainment. They should both be ashamed.

My daughter was at this taping of Stossels show. She describes things pretty much the same as the article.

So funny the RINOs here at FR who besmirch Libertarians. nothing like having your principles challenged (things like liberty and freedom from government coercion) and then attacking those who actually do espouse individual liberties. Hilarious how close to home one can find hypocracy.

But hey - next election cycle go ahead and act like peevish libs and shout rude names at those who want a genuine return to a Constitutional republic - not Totalitarian Lite. Yeah thats worked out real well for us.

The 1,400+ Libertarian students, who were there as a part of Stossel’s annual taping at the International Students for Liberty Conference in Washington, D.C., became increasingly hostile, jeering and booing Coulter along the way.

I had to laugh when I read this. They obviously haven't watched Ann enough or they would know that she lives on people jeering and booing. She takes the energy and shoves it right back at them. They were simply giving her a boost.

Stossel should have asked Ann if it makes sense to have the highest prison population per capita in the world just to house drug offenders? I'm with Stossel. If prohibition failed in the 1920s why would it work now?

Coulter's losing her edge.

“First of all, for alleged individualists, you’re very mob-like,” Coulter said. “Second of all, it is my business because we are living in a welfare state … Right now, I have to pay for, it turns out, coming down the pike, your health care. I have to pay for your unemployment when you can’t hold a job. I have to pay for your food, for your housing. Yeah, it’s my business!”

Using the liberals' argument that everything's our business because we have to pay for it isn't very convincing. I wish Stossel would have called her out on that. There's reality and there's the man-made situation we live in -- they are different.

For Pete's sake. Next she'll be telling me to stop smoking because it will raise her taxes. Not a very deeply-founded philosophical belief. Nothing more than an appeal to self-interest.
