A 10-ton meteor exploded in the sky above Russia on Friday, causing a shockwave that blew out windows injuring some 400 people and sending fragments falling to the ground in the Ural Mountains.

i was making this point to a friend this morning.
if this happened over chicago or new york, there would have been people screaming, crying, running... general panic
Running commentary and exhibits about DA14.

I counted 27 seconds in one of the videos from the bright blast to the occurrence of the shockwave. At 1100 feet per second, that's roughly 29,700 feet.
Others have pointed out a good lesson here. If you witness a blindingly bright flash in the sky, you probably have about less than half a minute to take cover to avoid injury from the blast. One must avoid the temptation to stand at the windows to admire the view. For those with a strong sense of scientific curiousity, it's a challenge.
Of course this happens during the third trumpet of God’s wrath, which happens AFTER Jesus returns in the clouds to gather his elect (Rev 14:14).
I’ve reconsidered the pre-tribulation theory. It is nowhere in the Bible. In fact, the only time pre-tribulation is mentioned is in the Scofield Bible commentary.
Unfortunately, we many not escape many of the events that are foretold in the last days.
Nailed it!
Yes, but since it happened over there, wherever that "over there" is, you have people with instant Babble quotes, about Armageddon, God's Divine Judgment and similar nonsense.
Around here we'd grab a beer and watch the show.
And wear a tin hat!
It was tongue in cheek, I could tell. But so many Christians are deceived on this subject. I wanted to make sure any other reader would understand the correct sequencing.
Are you familiar with the new film “After the Tribulation”? It is an excellent documentary exposing the Pre-tribulation rapture false doctrine. It is viewable on Youtube. There is a blurb on it here:

My pastor, Steven Anderson, has an excellent series on Revelation at the FWBC website. He convered all 22 chapters a few years ago. But preached them again recently because he’d learned so much since that time. He’s rerecorded 17 of the 22 chapters of Revelation and will complete the series in a few weeks.
The videos were amazing to watch. I marvel at mother nature and what she can do to a hunk of ice, metal or rock.
so many Christians are deceived on this subject...
I agree. Most sit in the pulpit and only digest what the pastor (who digested everything he learned from his instructor in seminary) People need to read the Bible for themselves.
The Bible is very clear once preconceived notions are taken out of the mix. It’s in the Book. That’s the way it will be. Yes and no, never maybe.
I’ll check out the site.
