I used to watch Greta almost every weeknight. I made it my business to watch whenever "Our Sarah" was on, till The Fox Bosses decided to diss Sarah in order to make liberals like them (as if!). People in my household were under strict orders not to interupt me during what I called my "News Round-Up" on Sunday night with Mike Wallace. I used to listen to some Sean, some O'Reily. I never did like The Five, because a. I already see these same people during the day or overnight b. Beckle; need I say more. Beckle is one of the reasons I stopped making a point to see Hannity.
Now...I don't know. I no longer expect anything from Fox, nothing that is a true harbringer to change and improvement. We'll have to be content just to tred water till the mid-terms of 2016. I keep hoping for a conservative with 'heavy pockets' to start their own RED channel, one that is free and easy to access. Fox could use some real competition. Could be that we americans are so very fractured and balkanized as ever-changing mosaics of demographic groups, with few particular demos big enough, brand-loyal or predictable enough to be worthwhile. I sometimes feel a little guilty, as though I missed going to church.
Meanwhile, I have a 'temporary separation' with George Noory's Coast to Coast as well. I started listening to Art Bell back around 1992. I'm still interested in the Outer and Inner Spaces of existance, but Coast to Coast has become a bit too predictable. I still visit sometimes, but for now, I'm seeing other people, like Red-Eye Radio, which is political, but it's two mid-western guys with a fun delivery, and I don't yet know everything about them. Sometimes, I want to hear about Hockey, or fishing for smelt in the great lakes, or successful Charter Schools that are loudly praised and defended by concerned parents.
Call me in late 2014. I'm sure the closer we get to the mid-term election's, things will look more interesting. Maybe, Maybe a Tea/ Repub who is good, and polished and BOLD, and READY will challenge Mr. Boener and Mr. Preibus. Good fellows, both of them, but too mild mannered and easily thrown off base. Most americans are not wanting to line up and follow someone overly meek, overly compromising.
This is probably a good time for us conservatives to think locally, meaning, consider getting involved in your local City Council, visit the local Chamber of Commerce, or Traffic Court.
“As a life-long registered Republican and member of the NRA, blah, blah, yada, yada, huminuh, huminuh...”
Me, too........I was soooo disappointed I have stopped watching obsessively and hardly ever listen to Rush, Hannity and others anymore.......except Mark Levin.......
I have to admit the same. Nothing they have on is very important to me anymore.
If you’re a writer for soap operas get a new line of work. :-)
You haven’t missed much. Feigned outrage light. Oh, Bill O’Reilly has come out as a gun grabber supporting registration and limits (stealing) on “assault weapons”.
Yeah, when Fox made the call for Obama during election night, Mom ran to the bathroom to throw up. George Noory is OK but no one can be Art Bell. Art Bell well, is Art Bell, he had his own way of doing things. If he knew he was being BSed by a caller or guest, he had the knack to keep things going by handing them the rope to hang themselves. He also knew what questions to ask plus every once in a while he talked about amateur radio as well. I’ve been in contact with Art Bell as well as a fan group on Facebook and there was a deal he might be coming back to radio buy not just yet.
Yeah, I’m not as big on Rush and Hannity, I still get into Beck, Levin and Savage. Sometimes I think Fox jumped the shark although I like Fox Business and so does Mom. I think we are all just bummed out and burned out over the election, time to lick our wounds and go on.
I find myself watching the Brady Bunch to escape everyday crappola. Fox News is on at work during midnights for background noise.
Ditto.
Hannity is like a broken record, O’Reilly researches nothing on his own and takes everything from his staff as gospel. Only watch him when Miller is on.
I now find Greta to be the easiest to watch.
Would watch The Five more often, but anything with Beckel is an instant channel turner.
You mentioned; If yr a writer for soap operas, get a new line of work.
Do you mean, one should not realistically expect a whole lotta changes when contemplating how the government or national politics is or is not working? Do you mean, So what else is new? Polititians are known to disappoint. If that was your meaning, then, yes, I understand you, they’re just people, like the rest of us. Even still, I hope for better, sometime down the line.
Same here. After Megyn was giddy with excitement over Zero’s reelection, I realized it’s all just a game to them, and they are not even close to being one of “us.” Stopped watching them after the election. They can ALL go to he!! as far as I’m concerned.
I sympathize with you, but
Why is this ‘news’, and in the News thread?
I too have pretty much dropped the Fox News Channel. They were very quick to call obama the winner, and seemed more pleased with it than anything.
I do spend a lot more time on FreeRepublic getting all the news that is fit to print.
Art Bell as Lazarus? OOH, I can’t wait! I figured he simply needed a decade or two away from the pressures of running a program. I presummed that someone that popular would eventually miss being talked about.Hope it’s true.
Once it was confirmed to me by law enforcement that the media companies were all threatened and just saying what George Soros allows them to say, I have no interest in listening to any of them.
At least with Baghdad Bob there was some entertainment value. Somehow I just can’t find it funny to dance on the coffin of the America I’ve always loved. Feels about as good as a root canal but accomplishes nothing.
Count me out, Rush, Hannity, and everybody else.
The only one who really understands what’s going on with America and isn’t afraid to tell the story is Glenn Beck. But even he won’t tell the whole story, because he knows Obama is ineligible and was put in place by Soros’ communist-Islamist cabal and yet he is the worst at mocking those who also know it. So I don’t trust him either.
The country is dead and we’re all on our own. As long as people keep gingerly stepping over that big elephant in the room, I can’t believe a word they say about anything.
Freudian Mike Wallace, huh? Since 12/2/12. Pretty chatty post. Hmm...
Used to watch it, daily. Cannot stand Beckel and Rove.
Since Sarah ditched FauxNews there's no need to watch, anymore.
Opus much?
