Great for conservatives because it is anti-system...it is about what an individual can do when he believes in what is possible. It is about individuality and achievement...and faith and taking chances. It is also about meritocracy.
It is about everything Socialism is against.

Actually, the most blatant conservative movie of the past year was the animated movie for Batman called “Batman, THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS”.
The 2nd best line in the movie?
REPORTER: “Do you think Batman should return?”
LIB: “I think Batman is a menace. He beats criminals without the permission of the police and he attacks these defenseless poor people in the rough neighborhoods”
REPORTER: ‘So, are you willing to live in those dangerous neighborhoods?”
LIB” Are YOU NUTS? Hell, no, it’s dangerous there.”

I haven't seen Flight yet (but will). Having had my own issues with substance abuse...I want to prepare myself.
That said...heard it is great.
'Here come the Boom' is not in the same league as flight. It is light-hearted and infinitely less substantial...but it's message is powerful for adults and children alike.

Here Comes the Boom is a GREAT movie, I agree!
A friend of mine from Boston was an extra in it and he said the cast was so kind and personable, it was a joy to make.

I found it to be very entertaining also, cheesy (I like cheese), and fun. I didn’t see the conservative message myself, but I can see how it could be seen that way.

We liked Act of Valor"Act of Valor" is excellent. I've watched it several times. Relieves some of what I call my patriotic depression.

Conservative in that it (the movie) is about individual effort...not the system, not the government, not the collective...the individual.
