The cotton combine could do ten times the work for one-tenth the cost of a slave. Slavery was doomed by sheer economics. There was no real need to kill 600,000 Americans. I surmise that the real battle was between Federalism and Confederalism, a subtle but very important difference.

I have been tempted but I have never said that he should be fired for his idiotic remarks in the past. This goes way over the line. It serves no purpose but to try and re-charge the Race Card while demonizing law-abiding gun owners. Shemp would be a good fit the Reality TV News of MSNBC.
Shep Smith is a flaming Barbara Streisand Homo. The only ‘guns’ he has any knowledge of are the prop plastic six-guns he wears down at the Pink Pickle on “Village People Night.”

In Michigan, gun control laws are a direct result of a black man (Ossian Sweet) being acquitted of murder after killing a racist who tried to drive Sweet out of a “white” Detroit neighborhood in the 1920s. The first gun control legislation started showing up in Lansing just weeks after the verdict.
There are only two major problems with Smith:
1. He isn’t very bright.
2. He thinks he is.
I think people would support slavery, but with blacks enslaving everyone else, but they are Obama voters.
