She came "home" to Woodville but she relly is from a smaller community near Woodville. A lot of people around there "know" her because she went around singing when she was a child.
I remember hearing her name and seeing pictures when she was a child...but I don't know her.
People who do know her say she REALLY is sweet and not a phony bone in her body.
As I said earlier, when the plane taking the three "home" landed here last Fri., after the camera crew got finished with pictures of Kree, Candace got off the plane and mixed with the crowd. The only pics of that were taken by locals...who, BTW, really liked her. Said she was really sweet.
Angie stayed on the plane. We're glad she's gone!
We were out with friends this evening. Just got in and saw that it’s Kree and Candice. I think Kree for sure wins this deal now. Angie was the one that could have stole votes from Kree or Candice. Kree is gonna get every country vote, and really every vote that isn’t motown based.
Appreciate your perspective. Hope its Kree.
If Candice wins won’t be overlybdisappointed as I think she was better than Angie and more mature.
Did I see the judges do a standing ovation for Candace and then turn away when Kree was announced? ...no favoritism there.

Yes...Harry Connick Jr. would be great. I was disgusted this year with Idol- they left the great male singers go - but I think it had more to do with skin color quotas from the judges. Seriously, it was more than obvious.
The entire season they showed bias- never a standing ovation for Kree and there was a camera shot of them tonight showing them very happy Angie was going. Hope all the judges are gone....

I’m in CA (that’s why I haven’t participated or lurked much on this thread. We are always lagging behind out here, among other things). Still waiting for it to start here. I usually try to avoid spoilers, but this time I peeked to see who won and am happy to know Candice survived to the final two. I guess I am in the minority of people who want to see her win. I just like her voice. But, with good managers, all three will do well in the music field, no matter who wins. They are all talented.
The Runner-Up is the most fortunate contestant. The only contestant that doesn’t have to do the tearful final performance. :-)
Anyhoo, I like all three finalists and hate to see any of them depart (of course they all will be back next week for the finale, for what it’s worth)

Major changes coming to Free Republic's "American Idol" threads next season.
Stunned by dramatic declines to the "American Idol" threads, Free Republic head honcho Jim Robinson today announced dramatic changes to next season's AI threads.
Long-time thread host "silent-jonny" is OUT. "S-J's" done a great job, Robinson said, but that huge drop-offs in both the number of posts per thread, and the number of posters to the threads, as compared to past seasons, left him with no choice. "In the old days, we'd ahve to split the thread in mid-season, there were so many posts to it.We have to recapture what made the AI threads great; find the magic, get it back," JR said. Obviously a change at the top is long overdue. Robinson said that he has several candidates in mind, including "rock lobsta."
In addition, Robinson announced that several prolific posters to the AI threads would be banned, in an attempt to recreate the community that made the AI threads so successful. "Chunga" is gone, done, finished, kaput! He's toast. "MagUSNRET", "Clint N. Suhks," "floriduh voter" are also out, he said. "Others may be removed as well. We're hoping to encourage many to return, like maggief, Emily Geiger, fatima."
Also, JR promised the return of SPARKLEEZ to the AI threads. "As far as I'm concerned, this place started to go downhill when they stopped using SPARKLEEZ."
Robinson also promised to bring back the high points of the earlier AI threads, the awards for 5,000th, 10,000th, 15,000th post. "People used to be queuing up for those, trying to time their posts..now..nothing...not a mention..heck..we were just lucky to make it to 5,000 posts this season's thread."
Robinson promised an special prize for the 5,000th post, etc..winners next season..an software code that that won't let FReepathon threads show up when you open FR on your computer. "That's just HUGE," he said.
When asked if he believes that the AI threads are still viable on FR, Robinson replied, "Hell, yes! Look, there's that other talent competition show, "The Voice" that's actually doing much better than AI in the TV ratings, but there has never been a thread about it on FR. That's because it doesn't resonate with FReepers like AI. So if we can just get back to what we used to do, we'll be in great shape."
Robinson also disavowed rumors that he was considering making the AI thread on FR a "pay-to-post" option, using bitcoins. "There's as much chance of that happening as AI bringing back Brian Dunkleman as host."
Note:I hope everyone realizes the obvious...that I just needed to use some names, and wasn't picking on anyone....well..almost anyone.
