Interesting. I didn't actually watch the show, just read this thread. So they never said Kree was in the bottom two? Because I've been thinking, Candice will probably pick up Amber's votes now and therefore, I don't see how Kree can survive next week. But if Kree was not actually in the bottom two last night, then maybe all bets are off.
Bingo..last week, they had two pairs on stage...Kree and Angie, and Amber and Candace..after the usual drama, and endless commercials, Seacrest announced that Angie and Kree were the TOP TWO in votes..and were safe..Amber and Candace were the bottom two..but there was no elimination,a nd the votes would be combined with next (this weeks ) vote..ergo..no way that Kree goes from top to bottom..
I am so happy for Colton; he seems like such a sweet, grounded guy and with Third Day, no less—Woo Hoo!
Love your comments and I agree, Ken. In fact, I think that is where Angie belongs, on Broadway. She already seems like she is always playing a part.
She is attractive and talented but there is nothing really genuine in her. She may be perfect for putting others’ lyrics to life on a stage. (Even though she is a decent songwriter!) And she would be less distracted without cameras she needs to search for and gaze into. It is actually annoying. Sometimes I feel like asking Angie through my 55inch screen, how many fingers am I holding up? But she could be a big Broadway success, and I would happily go see her in a musical.
Kree is very talented, but seriously, I believe Candace is the best singer up there. I am hoping she wins. She seems like a pretty nice person, too.
I didn't think about that at the time, but you're absolutely right. Other singers who never made it a fraction as far as Amber did have taken the time to thank the show and everyone involved before leaving the stage.
Good point.
Don't Spend Big Money on Judges Then Force Them to Follow a ScriptNicki Minaj's blunt assessments and Keith Urban's soft-spoken music-geek shtick have been delightful for much of this season, but in recent weeks, they've towed Nigel Lythgoe and Ken Warwick's party line with such maddening obedience that it's hard for most fans to trust anything coming out of their mouths. The standing ovation they gave Amber Holcomb's dubious MacArthur Park cover during Top 4 performance night was like a katana to the heart of their credibility. If the show is determined to keep investing in an A-list panel, then why not encourage those industry titans to truly pay attention to the week's performances and then offer their raw, undiluted opinions? That might be the first, best step toward alleviating viewer frustration that they're watching a Bizarro Idol where the feedback too often fails to match reality.
Don't Greenlight Songs or Themes Already Used More Than Three Times
... why does Idol think it's okay to be so wickedly unimaginative and force the audience to endure a second or third or fifth helping of Motown Week or Bacharach Night or Songs That Inspire? If Uncle Nigel can't think of more current or interesting themes, then he should be rewarded with a pink slip and a severance package along with a Motown Greatest Hits box set.
LOL
I didn't know that Kree has been singing in Nashville since she was 8 years old..
And if it doesn't work out, she'll [Kree] always have that tweet from Merle Haggard, who complimented her on her version of "Help Me Make It Through the Night.""Oh my God, I don't even think it's real still," Harrison said. "I was like, 'Who's punking me?' First of all, Merle Haggard has a Twitter?
LOL! I wouldn't think Merle would be on Twitter either.
Also didn't know about Angie's hearing loss:
It was in childhood that she suffered ruptured ear drums and impaired hearing, Miller said. The problem worsened when one ear drum deteriorated further, and the doctor who diagnosed it last year recommended that she undergo skin graft surgery post-"Idol."
She could have easily milked that all season, like Lazaro and his sutter, but she didn't. And the fact that she can sing as well as she does and play piano with this condidition is amazing.
For Yaelle:
They had four photos of Singer.I.Ain't, and only one of them included Shelby. But this is a really good one though.
And for Peggy:
Why does Randy always look like he just randomly wandered into the shot and someone out of the frame is calling his name? You don’t look cool, you look confused.
Anyway, I won’t be here tonight, because I’ve a networking event (barf). I’d rather be here, but until FR starts paying my bills....
The networking event might be more entertaining ;)
Oh, thank you so much. I love my Cookie, but I don’t love his hair.
Hi, Peggy!
The boobs are out tonight.
