That in addition to everything else indicates that it was calculated to produce what they obviously wanted.
And after Andrea wins Jeff gives her the clue to the location of the hidden immunity idol. When has that ever been done before and why??? Was that to make sure that Reynold didn't then go back and dig it up and survive another week in the game??? If Reynold had won that challenge would Jeff have given that clue to him???
They wanted Reynold gone -- period -- and they were leaving nothing to chance either in the challenge or the possibility that he would find and play the hii.
“I quit watching Amazing Race when they pulled the crap they did in Vietnam. And believe me, it had to be pretty bad for me to give up this show.”
They did do a formal, televised apology before the next show, which surprised and gratified me.
Reward and Immunity challenge winner (1): Andrea
Immunity challenge winner (2): Erik
Enil Edam (merged tribe - green buffs): Brenda, Cochran, Dawn, Eddie, Erik, Sherri
Jury: Andrea, Malcolm, Michael, Phillip, Reynold
Eliminated: Allie, Brandon, Corinne, Francesca, Hope, Julia, Laura, Matt, Shamar
Immunity Idol status: Currently, no one has an idol. Andrea won a clue to the hidden idol in the first challenge. She shared the clue with her alliance. Erik found the idol and gave it to her. Since she won the first challenge, she didn't need to play the idol. She didn't win the second challenge, and didn't play the idol, and was voted out.

As of Survivor: Nicaragua, this is a new Survivor ping list. The old list is no longer available, so I would appreciate it if any of you could ping interested parties to this thread. Thank you. :)

I do believe Jeff announced the Clue to the III before the challenge started.
On the contrary, they gave one of their CYA non-apology apologies.
Instead of coming out and saying they were sorry for what they did and that they would never again pull that kind of stunt, they said they were sorry if you offended.
That's a huge difference in my book and quite frankly, doesn't qualify as an apology.
You’re right. I must have missed that part when my TV was in the midst of an acute CBS buffering fit.
I noticed that Eric and Andrea found it right where Malcom was digging — so Malcom had the clue right. And since Malcom shared the clue with Reynold, it is Survivor malpractice for Reynold to have failed to have dug it up pronto the next morning before anyone else got to it.
I guess you could say it was the “luck of the draw since they draw for positions. Do you think they might possibly rig the draw?
No but they should have placed the rooftops all equidistant from the shore. Someone was going to have an advantage.
Reynold should have gone after that II. Eddie should have at least tried to stay on the challenge. Both missed out on major saves. One major save would have been Malcolm trying to sway Brenda last time.
Good to see Andrea get the boot. She was much to full of herself. If she’d stuck to the plan to boot Eddie this week, she could have used her II next week and made it to the final five.
The splintering has begun. Erik shocked me with voting to boot Andrea but then he not only marches by the beat of his own drum but lost the entire parade. Erik’s vote will be obvious to the remaining players so it’s now Erik, Eddie and Brenda vs Sherri, Dawn and Cochran with his story arch still rising.
Little boy lost has been following Andrea around for weeks and next week he will be following her over to the Pond.
I think Eric, Brenda, and Sherri are going to be on their best behaviour and reduced to interviewing with Cochran to be part of his final three with Dawn.
It's hard to imagine that Eric or Brenda would not be there in the final three given their strength in challenges, but if it is Cochran's choice he just might prefer Sherry.
Anyway this will be over rather quickly -- Tuesday then Sunday.
er -- Wednesday then Sunday.
Misidentity.

Eric climbing a tree for a coconut because he is dying of hunger???
He got a plate full of donuts at the last challenge — that must have gone right through him.
The women don’t seem to be bothered by it — except that Eric is going to have to win the next challenge in order to survive another day.
Didn’t they get fishing equipment??? Doesn’t anyone there know how to use it??? or is this just a Mexican standoff at this point.
But of course Cochran got the plate full of hot dogs to bulk up on going into the next critical challenge. Advantage Cochran —
Another challenge tonight that seems to favor the person with less upper body weight — advantage to the girls. I’d have to give this one to Brenda meaning Eddie should be gone tonite.
Tonight, Wednesday, May 8, 2013, 8/7c on CBS

Remember, the finale is this Sunday!
I don’t recall any of them fishing this season. I also don’t see anyone losing much weight. Mark gives them more to eat each season.
The big question of the night:
Will Eric get his coconut???
Well that was cold and cold hearted and tough to watch — especially after Brenda gave up the reward to the others and [supposedly] let Dawn win the ic.
It never pays to win that reward challenge because you know you will face the no win option afterwards — and get no reciprocating love afterwards.
I suspect that we are going to have the worst, the weakest, and the least popular final three in the history of Survivor — Cochran, Dawn, and Sherry.
What final immunity challenges will the producers come up with to get rid of Eddie and Eric and make sure that happens???
