A group of like-minded patriots, bound together by pride in American exceptionalism, plan on building an armed community to protect their liberty.
The group, named Citadel, intends to purchase 2,000 to 3,000 acres for the project in western Idaho. The community will comprise of 3,500 to 7,000 families of patriotic Americans who "voluntarily choose to live together in accordance with Thomas Jefferson's ideal of Rightful Liberty."
According to the Citadel website, Rightful Liberty means that "neighbors keep their noses out of other neighbors' business, that neighbors live and let live."

Just one quick look at the layout tells me its either a scam or a prank. I personally think its a prank because a scam needs to be more realistic than this.

One way in and out? Really?
Strange statement to me! Americans either want to abide by the Constitution or not. It is our founding document! For goodness sakes, do you actually think that it takes the Government to force us to abide by the Constitution! The Constitution is written by and for the People NOT the Government! It is up to the People to enforce it NOT the Government! To say the they can not abide by the Constitution on their own implies that they must be forced to abide - just how crazy is that!!
Rather strange statement I’d say...
No, it will become a State issue eventually...
Ping.
Interesting. Has a scam smell to it though...
Glenn Beck announced something similar “city”, I think called Independence.
Heh, could come to that but picture it much larger - say a few states wide!
“To say the they can not abide by the Constitution on their own implies that they must be forced to abide”
No, it doesn’t imply that. But to say that they can abide by the Constitution on their own is quite similar to saying a person can get married or form a partnership on their own, without anyone else.
And yes, you can abide by the terms of a marriage or a partnership by yourself, but only the parts that apply to you, not the whole thing.
Okay...your opinion, I disagree wholeheartedly! For those of use that actually believe in the Constitution, it would be no problem at all! Of course there is always the chance that their elected officials are corrupt (like most of those we have today) then they will experience the same corruption.
I would think that those that gathered in this effort would be the best of best and would not need outside influence.
So I guess you are technically correct, even if individuals believe and carry out their duties under the Constitution, their elected leaders may not - sound familiar?
That was my first thought. Sounds a bit hinky, too. Thanks, but I'll stay where I am.
You’re both correct...IMO
Leadership isnt democratic either.
Neither is the United States. And the Constitution says the fed will guarantee all states maintain a republican form of government. As this will be below the state level I wonder what “type of government” rule will apply.
i think if we had the demographics of the late 1700s it could work. i don’t think so now.
I think the barak regime would love for us to cower in compounds like Waco, or maybe like Jews in train cars.
No mention of God, worship, or religious freedom other than inference? People have to be physically fit, does that mean that those who get sick after moving in get expelled?
It will be interesting to watch what transpires.
At least you get to vote in the United States.
This sounds like a group of folks came up with the idea and are looking for other people to help fund it. Only those other people won’t have any say in how their investment is managed or maintained.
And in the event of their death the buyers likely won’t be able to will the property to their heirs. Instead the property reverts back to the original folks who can re-lease the property to someone of their choice.
Four: Every able-bodied Patriot of age within the Citadel will maintain one AR15 variant in 5.56mm NATO, at least 5 magazines and 1,000 rounds of ammunition.
That is quite an expensive proposition for every member of the family.
I think I'll pass. I'd rather rely on my own preps and abilities. But for some, it might be a good option.
Some have at least that in their BOB. ;-)
