A simple fast food order turned into a prolonged police standoff in Wichita, KS, this morning.
According to reports, a couple went through the McDonalds drive-thru around 7:30 a.m. today. After pulling away from the window, they realized their order was wrong.
But instead of pulling into the parking lot and going into the restaurant, they pulled back into the drive-thru and attempted to cut off another vehicle in line.
This led to a verbal altercation between people in both vehicles. The driver of the car with the mixed-up order allegedly threw a crowbar at the other car. Her passenger then got out of their vehicle with a shotgun and fired once. The Wichita Eagle reports that the shot was fired into the drivers side door of the car they had cut off, while KAKE-TV says that the shot was fired into the air.
Regardless, it appears that no one in the other car was injured.
Police tracked the male suspect the one with the shotgun a house and began blocking off local streets while they await a search warrant.
UPDATE: According to this Tweet from KAKE reporter Jared Cerullo, around 3:00 p.m. ET, police finally arrested the suspect who had been holed up inside a house since this mornings incident.
Amish?
If you complain to corporate on their online form, they will send you some really really good coupons
All that for a mixed-up friggin’ Happy Meal? (or whatever they’re called) Good Lord!
No doubt.

Well, DUH!
WHO pulls away from the window at McDonalds before checking their order?
Did they not have a cell phone? Usually they call 911 first when a fast food place runs of out of McNuggets or screws up a order.
They will get my Egg McMuffin away from me when they pry it from my cold dead hands!!!!!!!!
My brother had a friend who, as a teenager, smashed his fist through the McDonalds’ drive through window because they got his order wrong. He had some “anger management” issues. It made the paper and he got probation and fine. Some people just don’t know how to calmly deal with mistakes in a manner that doesn’t get them arrested or killed.
Some variety of Mennonite, I’m guessing.
I actually feel sorry for the male suspect. First McDonalds screws up his breakfast order.
Then his day gets a whole lot worse. MUCH worse.

Not very happy, I’d say.
Dunno, let's ask an expert.
Am I?
Maybe they forgot to put the little child’s toy, inside? (Crackerjack prize days in the 50s... LOL)
And you don't even need a shotgun?
Let be honest, you almost need CSI to tell one “food” item from another at McD’s
lol.
I guess when that family says “I get shotgun” as they head to the car, they really mean it
Nobody ever told her “tit for tat” is just an expression.
