Yep, they want sodomites to have the right to donate blood without informing about their HIV/AIDS status, but that won't kill anyone...
They want pedophiles, including illegal alien ones, to have the "right" to privacy so they can continue to prey on other people's innocent children, but that won't harm anyone...
The left is the scum of the earth and deserve all the bad coming to them. DWC aren't much better.

If there ever was a reason to withhold information for security and safety reasons this is one of those. To direct criminals to those who have guns is flat out criminal. There is no benefit to the public. When the media ceases its need to fuel public emotion and get back to ‘reporting’ news not being the news, they may regain some integrity and respect.

County Clerk Dennis Sant said ... he thinks its wrong and doesnt want to be responsible for someone in Putnam County being harmed by releasing the info. Sounds like Mr. Sant has a good understanding of the difference between legal and lawful:
Legal is the rule or regulation created by a valid legislature, and applied through the judiciary and administrative edicts of that society.
Lawful is the impact those rules and regulations have on that society.
The first is "the letter of the law" - the second is "the spirit of the law", and they should, in a just society, be equivalent.
Now consider "Roe v. Wade".
Legal and unlawful.

at first, I was alarmed at the disclosure.
Now, I'm thinking a little different.
Let them publish the addressees. Those are the houses that are LESS likely to be broken into because the owner is armed. So, if you want to try to break into my house, you will certainly leave feet fist.

Your maps are on too small a scale.
Your pins are too large.
There are many more people in NYC getting taxpayer paid abortions.

I expect that this will not happen. This is so grotesquely stupid that NYS will have to make the information private. All the county needs to do is stonewall a while.

Those willing to risk an armed home invasion would love to have this news - the houses to avoid.

These evil people published the names and addresses of gun owners, and revealed, by omission, those folks who don’t own guns.
If I lived in that county, and my house was burgled, whether I had a gun or not I would sue the Journal. They did, with malice aforethought, publish information they hoped would be detrimental to the safety and well-being of innocent, law-abiding people. It’s the same thing as yelling FIRE in a crowded theater or something.
It doesn’t pass the “reasonable person” standard.

This isn't NYC. Its a map of Rockland, Westchester and Putnam Counties which are among the most affluent counties in the country. For what its worth I thought it was very funny.

American Thinker interviewed some of the folks on the first map. One was a retired cop who had received death threats in the past from criminals he’d put away. They may have been too stupid or lazy - maybe didn’t even know it was possible - to find his address. The “news” scumbags just ‘fixed’ that.
There is NOTHING innocuous about what this “news”paper did.
I’m not thinkin even a little bit different...
