Yep, that will accomplish a whole lot. Split the Republican Party up and be in the minority for the next 30 years. Great idea. I’d prefer CWII myself one day. It will undoubtedly come to that. The demographics have changed to the tipping point.

Until we pull the power we have away from them, they will continue taking advantage of us.

I am more afraid of the GOP-E using our vote to give them the power to destroy my way of life and the future of my grandchildren than I am of a third party keeping Democrats in power.

The Republican Party is already “split up”, conservatives are not welcomed but keep showing up until they get a new lock.

Would splitting the republican party and being in the minority for the next 30 years be different in any way than say the GOP controlling all three branches of government?

Would we pass into law 0% of the conservative agenda, or would we pass into law 0% of the conservative agenda?

And the current republican party is doing what as the majority party in the house?

Acting like democrats.

So what is the point?

We send what we think are solid conservatives and the “GOPe” corrupts them.

We could try to take over the party. But honestly, I think it is much easier to either join an existing party more inline with what we believe (not what the platform says. What they DO) or start a new one.

The republican party is infected with a cancer. That cancer spreads to all the new members we send.

The Republican Party is dead. The GOP-e has killed it. I am not drinking their lesser-of-two evils, Dem-lite Kool-Aid anymore.

When one party has ceased to represent you, it makes no sense to continue to register with that party name.

The Republican Party is already split. Republicans will never again win the presidency.

hmm ~ the idea here is that the Freeper believes that by changing his voter registration he can make a difference.

In Virginia we have totally non partisan voter registration so it makes no difference EVER, so how can changing from what he has to what we have make a difference?

Does not connect.

I think it'd be more meaningful to burn your shorts in the front yard, not that I'm criticizing him, but seriously ~

Behind all of that, though, is his argument that the Republicans at the top are not digging into what he thinks is widespread vote fraud.

Actually, Republican parties all over the country have been digging into that possibility for the last 12 years ~ and they've ferreted out millions of dead voters, and move outs.

Florida has been in the forefront of that battle ~ and as more and more voters are removed from the rolls, the Republican vote declines as a percent of the total vote.

I think THAT needs explained thoroughly by the voting registrars to the Republicans who run Florida!

You have no power drinking the Republican cool-aide. As long as you are a member they just beg you for money and turn a deaf ear to you. As an Independent they HAVE to do something to garner your vote. It’s not splitting the party, it’s giving the Lame-Stream Republican Idiocracy a wake-up call.

Explain how maintaining the status quo (sticking with the gop) will bring on a CWII? I bet you don't see the contradiction of your statements, do you?

The Party is already ripped to tatters. Giving them our support will make us the same as the mindless Dims who support their Party. Until the Repubs understand that we aren't mindless drones who will continue to accept constant betrayals, they will continue to make pretenses at Conservatism while selling us further down the road.

The goal would be to build a new conservative second party and let the republicans be a smaller minotiry third or fourth party.

How many times do we have to be beaten one the head before we will go elsewhere?
