I have often wondered what preferences of beverages the various Freepers have, in particular, the kind of intoxicating liquors they tried to ban back in 1920. I know by reading stories on here that many of us consume intoxicating liquors from time to time and we may even have some Freepers who have accumulated some POIs over the years (posting under the influence). Obviously, don't post your favorite intoxicating liquor if you do not want to, but I just thought it would be interesting to see our beverage choices. Especially the morning after many of us quite possibly overindulged on same the night before...wait, is it afternoon already? Darn. Having breakfast at 1PM always throws me off my game.
If you don't drink intoxicating liquors at all, feel free to tell us what beverages you do drink. Milk, apple juice, sarsaparilla? Your reply might be boring to us but let us know anyhow if you feel so inclined to share.
In response to all the other nutty threads here today seeking personal information on Freepers, I am 50, have brown hair, hazel eyes, weigh 225 pounds and I prefer female company. My waist size is 40, my shoe size is 12 and yes, I do need to keep an eye on my blood pressure. I own a dog, a cat and no, I do not snore. As for intoxicating liquors, I prefer madeira wine, Samuel Adams seasonals, Frangelico hazelnut liqueur, 100% agave tequila and the occasional bottle of champagne. But preferably not all together at the same time as what happened last night. As of this moment my favorite beverage is Gatorade.
I use google chrome as my search engine. A few times earlier today it stopped me with a malware warning when going to FR. Never seen this before. I’m just wondering if your thread that was pulled had any impact???? Tin Foil alert I guess....

Dislike carbonated beverages but will drink a good gin and tonic. I’ve never finished an entire beer in my life...despise the smell but give me my Pinot Grigio. My favorite and that of many of my friends is called “Mommy’s Time Out”. It should actually be called “Grannie’s Time Out’ since we’re all past the Mommy stage of our lives.
Barbancourt Haitian rum
I never own pets, just do lease agreements- and only for large web footed marsupials.
I bet that is so good....
3 oz Gordon’s gin
1 oz 100 proof Vodka
.5 oz Blonde Lillet
Shaken hard and served with a large, thin lemon peel.
= Vesper
That, and my trusty Glenlivet. 12-year.
I agree, it has been fun. Nice escape. Been drowning in my own sorrows since the election.
My bff and I (was at her house for election night, my cable still out because of Sandy) were throwing ourselves around on the floor, crying and hugging. We just could NOT accept it.
This indescribable feeling I have had since, deep inside, has not subsided. But Laz’s thread was the 1st FR fun postings I have had since.
I’ve had a lot of different scotches, but Lagavulin is by far my favorite.
I’m also fond of aquavit, gin & tonics, dirty gin martinis, Manhattans made with rye or good bourbon, shots of Zwack, and all kinds of old-school cocktails.
I like a good full-bodied red wine, and there is no end to the beers I enjoy, but usually I get something from the local brewery, Alaskan.

Happy New Year.

Happy New Year.
Mount Gay Rum , any “real” 100% Tequila , and Yuengling.
They pulled the fun thread????
Trader Joe’s Stockyard Oatmeal Stout. A six-pack of this stout is ONLY $6. Can’t beat that price for above average beer. I’m a stout guy, that’s all I drink. BTW this Traders oatmeal beer is the former Goose Island Oatmeal Stout....same beer.
The “Arnold Palmer.” 50% sweet tea, 50% lemonade. Have to drink the low sugar version, but it is still pretty good.
Does that really have the foam on the bottom?
have you ever tried Plymouth gin??? it is/was the gin ration for the British Royal Navy. it's not Sapphire, but it's a good gin
Nah... not that one. You were way to entertaining to pull that one. That thread will be here forever... :)
