Didn't think it would happen, but it's actually snowing in Dallas. Maybe someone can post up a pic or two.

I chuck em into the woods. Or play Bocce ball. I learned the hard way that you should NOT try to mow them. Cost me a mower blade. When I lived in Cali we used to have a big lemon tree in the back yard. My wife is a southern gal from the hollers of deep Virginia, and she always collected them to make lemonade. She would'a brained me if she ever caught me throwing them out.

Snow is NEVER nice, particularly since it is cold and comes on cold days.
All that aside.... Merry Christmas.

When I first got this place, I thought the lemons were pretty cool.
Useful in cooking and all that.
They fall in December and July, odd things.
A few seasons went by of being hip deep in the dang things twice a year and my attitude toward them changed a bit.

I wonder what we might have by tomorrow. Ice? The weather service is reporting that we may get ice overnight. Good thing I don't have to go out for the next couple days. I haven't replaced the old tires on my truck yet.

most people in places with snow think 4 wheel drive is the same as 4 wheel stop.Or.... as I used to tell people... ALL CARS have four wheel brakes.

A few seasons went by of being hip deep in the dang things twice a year and my attitude toward them changed a bit. I hear that. That'd drive me nuts too.
We've got two big pecan trees and an oak in the front that drop a few metric tons of nuts and acorns every year. At least I can run the mower over them, and the squirrels sure eat their share.
I never have understood why some folks plant lemon trees. Why not avocado trees? Now there's something you can make some money off of.

I haven't replaced the old tires on my truck yet. Heck, just shake the snow off the bikes in the backyard and you're all set.
Probably won't even break a sweat getting around today :)

Please don’t say the “I” word to loudly.;) I have to go to Dallas tomorrow.
I’m about 65 miles east of Dallas. Pretty interesting snow (other than the fact it’s on Christmas Day) for us. The wind is still gusting so there is horizontal snow from different directions periodically. In between gusts...it’s sticking!

Please dont say the I word to loudly.;) I have to go to Dallas tomorrow. Berdie, we'd have to have freezing temps for at least a week before ice can stick to the roads. It was 70F just two days ago. I think you'll be fine.
