A few seasons went by of being hip deep in the dang things twice a year and my attitude toward them changed a bit.

I hear that. That'd drive me nuts too.

We've got two big pecan trees and an oak in the front that drop a few metric tons of nuts and acorns every year. At least I can run the mower over them, and the squirrels sure eat their share.

I never have understood why some folks plant lemon trees. Why not avocado trees? Now there's something you can make some money off of.

Why not avocado trees

When i ived in socal, had a friend lived in chatsworth, had two giant avocado trees in the front yard. We would sit on the lawn and eat avocados and drink beer. they got so bad all over the yard and driveway, he would use a push broom and sweep them out to the gutter daily so he wouldn't run them over when parking in the driveway.
