Didn't think it would happen, but it's actually snowing in Dallas. Maybe someone can post up a pic or two.
Thanks, GeronL! Driving on “i” scares me silly!
Maybe cancel that big Christmas bike ride! ;)
These lemons are a pain in the ass.
At least you have your cat trained to retrieve them!
I dunno...I’ve seen it happen before in the past dependent on the amount of precip. Theoretically, I shouldn’t be getting the snow accumulation I seem to be getting.
I guess if it will quit raining/snowing and the wind keeps up the roads will be o.k....maybe...I hope...
What fun! (....for “y’all”)
Youll note that people from Wisconsin dont rush to post snow pictures! LOL.
Yeah, we in SoCal don’t post them much either! ;)
Mommy and the kids are going out in a few minutes to try and build a snowman.
Me, I'm staying inside in my robe and furry slippers :-)
Well, I guess road conditions depend on how far out you are. The further away you are from the urban heat island, the colder everything will be, and I suppose some ice could stick this early. Doesn't seem likely, but just drive carefully.
When i ived in socal, had a friend lived in chatsworth, had two giant avocado trees in the front yard. We would sit on the lawn and eat avocados and drink beer. they got so bad all over the yard and driveway, he would use a push broom and sweep them out to the gutter daily so he wouldn't run them over when parking in the driveway.
Put up a sign in the yard, “lemons, nickel a bag, you pick”
If your friend wasn’t into making some spare income off those avocados, he could have gotten rid of them in a heartbeat by posting a “Free Avocados” sign in his front yard. Folks driving by would have cleaned them out for him.
Yes, but are those snow flakes BIGGER than the ones we are having here in Colorado? (hehe)
We only get about 1 in 5 white Christmases so this is fun. Maybe not for those kiddies that got bikes for Christmas, but it’ll melt within a day or so.
Most fruit trees and grapes we have planted gives so much stuff we give it away, and the rabbits and foxes and turkeys all get fat around here.
lol you remember Dennis Quaid, ‘first you get a bunch of avocadoes and tomatoes going one way, and some onions and cilantro going the other way..’
Does a bear obama in the woods?
These are Texas sized snowflakes, buddy! LOL
You mean God is providing, and NOT Obama??? Who'da thunk it.
Merry Christmas!
Yep, if them had been Colorado flakes there would hardly be a dusting of snow there! Ya’ll got the bigger and better of even winter!
I warms my heart to see snow in Dallas at Christmas because a real nasty critter moved there from here claiming he was tired of snow at Christmas and, that he never got to go shoot his new toys at Christmas and had to wait until Spring.
NWS has been lying about rain for Austin for days now, but that low might be pulling in some Western moisture now....
