I wish to purchase an FN-FAL and an AR-15, and I would like to do so with a fellow freeper who can accept payments over a period of months. There would be no delivery of the firearm until the payments are completed.
You know what? I actually hope the Mayans were right.
But no need to get THAT depressed over it I suppose.
Aw, darling! Sorry things have gone awry for you this year. But now you have nowhere to go but up, and with 2012 behind you, you can move on to bigger and better things.
I’m looking forward to seeing you again. ;-)
Any apocalypse where humanity can be saved by John Cusack can’t be all that bad.
We may have to meet without the firearms... seriously... they may all be banned by then!
You know, that’s why I was so insistant on coming to the one in October. A little voice was whispering to me, “This might be the last one we can hold.”
SO many folks just don't get that.
Even teddy bears can be mean sons-a-bitches.
Suckas be judgin' me.....
Can you put me onto a “how to” to buy and build such a rifle? I have pistols and my dad’s old 30-06 but have always wanted to get something of an upgrade. Thanks in advance.
Naw, worse case, the last one we announce on a public forum.
I agree, Thackney. Our planning “threads” will have to go FReepmail or email.
Just so you know, momtothree...
I had wondered why. Now I know.
Emails and the like are not our only choices if it comes to that.
Home addresses among those that know each other in real life can be a good thing.
Planning can still be done.
.223 Wylde chambering solves those problems and maintains accuracy. All of the usual places have barrels/uppers with that chambering.
Laz my friend, I'm trying to get hold of a .308 battle rifle myself. An FN FAL is a fine choice. Get the metric variant; you'll find more magazines for it. Also, the CETME rifles aren't that bad of a choice, and neither is an LR-308.
He has to have claws.... people are judgin’ him. He should send them over to us.. we’ll put them straight!
No excuses, no defense. Your original comment was asinine and at face value adds to the I-got-mine/selfish A-hole narrative of which liberals love to paint conservatives.
If he sends them to us... Well, let’s just say that we’re “deadlier than the male.”
The single biggest recommendation I have, is if you want a railed forend for flashlights or a grip pod (which I highly recommend) is go with a VLTOR VIS monolithic upper receiver. By the time you buy individual components for a railed forend and an upper receiver, you're in the same price range as buying this. The rail is prfectly aligned allowing scope mounting without a cantilevered mount. Also this system makes barrel installation a snap, it even comes with it's own barrel nut tool. About $550 gets you a midlength setup.
My comment needs no defense or excuse. It stands on its own. If you don’t like it then so what? You respect the lifestyle choices that you want...I’ll do the same.
Laz, have you considered a Ruger mini 14. The caliber is .223 same a the AR-15’s. You may be able to get a used one in the $500.00 range.
Also SKS’s are a good choice. They are 7.62 X 39 caliber, the same as a AK-47. They can be had for around $300.00 to $400.00 range and the 7.62 X 39 has a little more umph behind it than the .223.
1. You’ve let it go faaaaaaaar too late.
2. The suggestion to get an AR lower is a good one, but you also need magazines for it, and pretty much everywhere is sold out. And the lowers are about $325 on the open market now. FN FAL? Yeah, that’ll be at least $1200.
3. Why didn’t you buy your arms earlier????
