Can't you buy it in stores in Texas? It's available in stores in Alaska.
I thought I saw on a show that the trappers make some money on their pelts. Wild Alaska or something like that. Just asking.

Maybe Sams and possibly Costco but it’d different, I wanted the Original version and for what it would cost me to drive to one of those stores then join their club it was cheaper just to ship it from Alaska (bulk) besides I wouldn’t have had such a good time with the young ladies on the phone.

I chased a couple of badgers into their burrows one night. That has to be one of the craziest things I have ever done in my life.
Common sense dictates to go armed into the untamed wilderness, common sense also dictates to go armed into the “civilized” cities as well. Heck, common sense would dictate to always be armed.
This guy was lucky, very lucky. Guardian angels working overtime kind of lucky.
Yeah, I was hoping the bear would eviserate Arec Bardwin...
DON’T MESS WITH THE BADGERS......
A-Ooooooo
His hair was perfect.
I bet you wont do that again.......ever....;^)

For really Crazy, jump a pack of Javelina (Peccary) and kick one sometime... the whole pack goes nuts at the first squeal, they even attack each other in the frenzy.
My brother was camping in AZ and came back from fishing to find them tearing up his Campsite ... he tried to chase them away then kicked one and ended up a Saguaro Cactus for an hour (his Story) bleeding while they tried to get him. Then he was afraid to get down in case they came back because he was miles away from his truck and he could still hear them in the dark with nothing but a fishing pole to defend himself with.
Now that is Adventure

Beat me to it. LOL!
About the only real real reason I own an AR is that I can use it against wolves, they are fast and come at you from every direction. Was almost attacked many years ago while out on a dark winter night in Alaska, all I had with me was a stainless Ruger .338 bolt action, too slow against a pack of wolves unless I have the high ground and enough ammo.
My backup is a 10mm Glock so I have 15 and one available. And I absolutely hated that movie “The Grey” made me want to build a tree stand up high, get a thermal scope on my M1A and plenty of some kind of bait.

Oh I’m sure they do but Fur-bearing animals are trapped along the creek (as was stated in the article) and they are higher dollar (the number that you can trap in a given amount of time, much easier to skin as well.
Not to mention a whole lot easier to trap (Wolves, just like our Coyotes down here) are smart ... but if you like that challenge it is more a sport than making a living.

Lol!
Click through to the original article and look at the hat the guy is wearing.
I think I have an idea why a hungry wolf attacked him...
I think there may be more to this story than we're hearing, like maybe he ran his snowmachine too close to a tree and had to come up with a good story about how he ripped the shit out of his coat? Or he's looking to be the next reality TeeVee star, Mr Backwoods Wolfstalkerman?
I came out unscathed but I realized the error of my ways and yes I will never do that again. Now if you will excuse me, there’s a hornet’s nest I’m going to kick over.
