Our son turned on the tv to watch the football game. He complained that the game was being interrupted. I immediately yelled for him to turn that POS off. He hesitated, so I was a bit more hostile. BO’s speech pattern is enough to set someone on a rampage. Ugh.

Seriously, I’m going to buy a gun soon. I’ve always been in favor of the 2nd amendment, and am former military so I know how to handle one...but just never really felt the need to. Felt as if I lived in a southern state so I could always get one if I needed one. But no more. I knew that this schmuck would want to take the guns if he could, but frankly felt like it would just be too far down on his agenda below taxes, wealth redistribution, and the like. But this event has clearly vaulted this issue to the forefront and its now apparent that he’s going to make federal gun laws a primary issue. And since he’s going to have the media squarely on his side, and his moronic followers supporting, including his coalition of minorities, bleeding hearts, single women, etc...I’m fairly sure he’ll get what he wants. So I’m buying a gun, before they are illegal.

Everyone concerned about protecting their 2nd Amendment rights in the face of the cynical exploitation of the Newtown spree killing should be repeating the following:

"Petit family".

For those who don't know about that one, here's a brief synopsis from Wiki about the Petit family home invasion in Cheshire CT:

"During this time, Hayes and Komisarjevsky escalated the aggravated nature of their crimes. Komisarjevsky sexually assaulted the 11-year-old daughter, Michaela. Komisarjevsky, who had photographed the sexual assault of the youth on his cell phone, then provoked Hayes to rape Hawke-Petit. While Hayes was raping Hawke-Petit on the floor of her living room, Komisarjevsky entered the room announcing that William Petit had escaped. Hayes then strangled Hawke-Petit, doused her lifeless body and parts of the house including the daughters' rooms with gasoline. The daughters, while tied to their beds, had both been doused with gasoline; each had her head covered with a pillowcase. The father (William) escaped, but wasn't able to summon help in time. If he'd had a gun hidden in the house and knew how to, and was prepared to, use it, things would have turned out VERY differently.

Maybe the idea is to have Michelle run in 2016--the way Lurleen Wallace ran for governor of Alabama when George Wallace was ineligible to run again.

With Hillary's health problems, the media will soon see the light and recognize that Michelle is the best one to carry on the Obama agenda. Maybe Durbin can be appointed to the cabinet and the Democrat governor of Illinois can appoint Michelle to his seat...to give her a political background.
