I just checked with my broker, and I can get Jamaican Blue Mountain for about $25/lb and roast it myself.

Puna Moon Hawaiian Rainforest (Kona Arabica Antipica trees) is running about $17.

Either one of those is worth more than anything Starbucks sells.

I'll stick with my Tres Rios La Magnolia for about $5/lb.

We have some excellent coffee at the local Cooperative for a lot less than that. Several different kinds. I wouldn’t touch Starbucks even on a supersale.

$4.99. No waiting in line for grotesquely over priced "burned" coffee, served by pierced and tattooed barristas, and elderly pony tailed hipsters.

Anyone who pays $7 for a cup of coffee isn't paying his/her “fair share” in taxes.

Paid $0.69 for a 24 oz Pumpkin Cappuccino at the QuikTrip. It was delicious, and lot better than Starbucks or Dunkin’ Donuts.

Here in Panama one can buy a good gin martini for about $4.50 or less.

Around $4/can. Couple of tablespoons of this in an espresso maker ... equal parts coffee and hot milk, sweeten to taste - best cafe' con leche EVER. Omit hot milk for cafe' cubano. Who needs Starsux?

I think it’s so expensive because they have to pick the beans out of Geisha poop.
