Collins said for about 30 minutes, the dog just sat inside the open garage door near her bed while officers decided what to do. 30 minutes just watching a dog?! Must be nice to be on the tax-payers' dime with no accountability of how working hours are spent.

Brutishness, limited life experience, and limited IQ seems to be a prerequisite for becoming a police officer these days. I’ve known some great people who were/are cops, in college, from work and church. I wonder what they think about all this brutishness. A sheriff friend made a point of rescuing stray dogs and finding homes for them. Two of the dogs I’ve been blessed with came from him. He is gone now, and I’m glad he doesn’t have to read about this crap.

The moments before the dog was shot to death were recorded by a neighbor on a cell phone. Dog's dead and the neighbor's probably in jail for recording it.
