After the auto unions supported bammy, would you ever consider buying a car from the Big Three again?
Okay, maybe I need more education on this. What cars are made in U.S. by NON-union employees???
< gasping >
Wait'll your electric bill is a grand a month .. soon
They didn't vote for asshole either and voted against the union petitions on the ballot.
GMC Envoys were assembled in Moraine, Ohio and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Never in Canada that I can find.
I’m told that the union bailout money and the billions the UAW got to take over the pension plan is almost gone. They’ll need another bailout soon
my next car/truck will likely be a Toyota. More made in the USA than the big 3.
GM and Chrysler are dead to me. I own 3 of them all pre-bail outs and bought dirt cheap (300-500 bucks).
Post bail out will be import or Ford if the deal is good.
Eff the unions. I AVOID anything with the union label.
Might want to watch it with buying Suzuki. I saw here where they’re closing all US operations.
The stock is up 30% in the last 3 months, do you recommend shorting it?
I bought a Toyota Yaris over 6 years ago. I know. She was made in California. Not sure if union made or not.
Thanks for pointing that out. It will make it easier to buy a Ford.
As opposed to buying vehicles from companies whose headquarters are located overseas?
KIA Sorento is made in USA.
Would it not be hoot if we did a Chick-fil-A in reverse and all went to a GM dealership on the same day/weekend and wasted hours of their time only to say “Oh you took bailout money...um no thanks” right before it was time to sign on the dotted line.
I will never buy another car from any company having anything to do with Detroit... even Ford.
I feel the foreign cars are better built ( Toyota, Hyundai, Nissan, Honda )... I will not consider anything from Detroit, I’ve been burned to many times, even with Fords including my daughter’s piece of crap 2006 Ford Mustang. She eventually sold it. Good riddance.
Not a chance. I have been a Toyota fan for years, ever since I owned my first one when stationed in Okinawa...in 1971.
He should take comfort if it’s a Camry. It’s more made in the USA than any of the big 3 cars.
And it’s still 100% toyota quality.
Where are their design facilities and corporate headquarters?
No, every plant that gets built receives huge subsidies from taxpayers. That's how business is done these days. Ex: the Hyundai plant in Alabama received $235 million in state funding. The Honda plant in Indiana received $141 million. These companies are smart enough to have states bid for the jobs, and the economy is so bad that states are desperate to attract them.
