Love your headline!

Yes, I was wary this time because the same sugar was pumped mercilessly where the sun don’t shine 4 years ago. Anyone not thinking McCain was going to ride out of the clouds from heaven above on election night 2008 in a chariot was ripped to shreds on FR.

And they were all wrong.

We need to learn that reality is more important that optimism before elections.

Oh, and believe the polls. And realize that if there are only days to election and your guy is down, he will lose and there is nothing you can do. So don’t wait that long.

I know the feeling...

I feel like quite the sap for all the liberals I argued with and told to ignore Nate Silver and listen to Rove and Morris. Turns of Silver was dead on and Rove and Morris were blowing smoke. Last time I make that mistake.

Sad thing is that I have a sneaking suspicion that most insiders knew that Obama was most likely going to win for months (Nate Silver never had Romney with anymore than a 30% chance of winning...ever...) and all the "sushine" pumped our way was to create ratings for various news outlets ...cough..cough...Fox News...and hits to websites (Morris and Rove).

Don’t believe anyone, and get out and vote.

My assessment of this election is that turnout for conservatives was forecast to be really good. Thus, many figured they didn’t need to vote because it was in the bag. Overconfidence, in other words. A lot has been made of Christians sitting out the election in protest, but I think most of the missing conservatives were lazy, not protesting.

This is not to discount the effect of cheating on the part of Democrats, which was probably 10 percent of the total. We needed it to be a blowout, and anything close to a tie is a win for the democrats.

At least I didn’t swallow all the Kool Aid and jump into Intrade with a foolish bet (like I was thinking of doing...)

Not so fast there....

The data themselves all pointed to a Romney win. Empirically, he should have won.

I tend to suspect that there’s some massive fraud that has gone on. Otherwise, the numbers (not the predictions, but that actual data) just don’t add up.

Either there’s fraud, or math has stopped working like it should.

...from all the sunshine that's been pumped up my arse in the past few weeks.

The past few weeks? Try the last six years, at a minimum. Maybe now, if Rush reassesses his audience demographic, we might start getting some realistic and usable analysis for a change. His goal of staying on the air until every last person in America agrees with him hasn't worked. Election numbers show that the base (and soon his audience) is shrinking. I hope he's prepared for whatever fresh hell the FCC will bring down upon him, because there's no doubt that it's coming now.

Conservatism may work every time it's tried, but it will fail 100% of the time that the majority votes against it.

WTH was up with the Gallup, Pew, and Rasmussen party ID numbers showing R+3 or more? Was that all in deep red states?

Bit by bit, little by little, beginning with the Reagan amnesty we accepted willing or unwillingly the trickle, and then the stream, and finally the deluge of illegals. The Executive Order enforcing the Dream Act, will now make this a tsunami. Hispanics broke 71% for Obama and will break more for the Rats in years to come. In CA they are responsible for insuring that every statewide office holder is a Rat and tax hikes under Initiative 30 will go into effect so that free K-12 schooling for illegals will happily go on.

This same phenomenon is occurring with Muslim immigration where the typical family breeds like rabbits. Mosques that were once isolated are now springing up like seaweed everywhere and in neighborhoods all around you. This sea-change in national identity was confirmed last night.

Adios America (grief stricken)

Thank you for expressing how I feel.

But then, I bent over and pulled my pants down for them.

Would the last one to leave please turn out the lights?

Thanks...

Hi RightStuff1,
Thanks for this post. I needed a good laugh. I’m still wiping tears and trying to catch my breath. One word of caution, though. As I understand it, the human body is designed in such a way that, in order for natural Vitamin D to benefit your health, the sun must shine on your FACE! Bwaa-haa-ha-ha!
Thanks again.
