I know the feeling...

I feel like quite the sap for all the liberals I argued with and told to ignore Nate Silver and listen to Rove and Morris. Turns of Silver was dead on and Rove and Morris were blowing smoke. Last time I make that mistake.

Sad thing is that I have a sneaking suspicion that most insiders knew that Obama was most likely going to win for months (Nate Silver never had Romney with anymore than a 30% chance of winning...ever...) and all the "sushine" pumped our way was to create ratings for various news outlets ...cough..cough...Fox News...and hits to websites (Morris and Rove).

Heck, Rove still had me convinced that Romney was going to win in, if not a landslide then a convincing manner at 9:30EST last night. I was starting to worry because Florida, Virginia, North Carolina and Ohio were looking extremely tight and Rove came on Fox with a big smile on his face and assured everybody that this was expected because the early votes that favored Obama were counted first and his tally of the actual votes by counties showed Romney ahead in the counties he needed to win and Obama behind in the counties he needed to win. He stopped just short of declaring Romney the winner then and there.

I went to bed fully expecting Romney to be the next president...needless to say I should have slept in...
