Don’t believe anyone, and get out and vote.
My assessment of this election is that turnout for conservatives was forecast to be really good. Thus, many figured they didn’t need to vote because it was in the bag. Overconfidence, in other words. A lot has been made of Christians sitting out the election in protest, but I think most of the missing conservatives were lazy, not protesting.
This is not to discount the effect of cheating on the part of Democrats, which was probably 10 percent of the total. We needed it to be a blowout, and anything close to a tie is a win for the democrats.
Why do we not accept the fact that there are more people who want socialism than those of us who do not? It is becoming a fact and until we accept that we are doomed to failure.
Look at the last few elections: Clinton easily won twice, Bush barely beat Gore and Kerry, and Obama ran away with it twice. The takers have caught up with the makers and we are losing ground every day. Nothing short of a miracle or total economic collapse is going to change this course.
Young people are being indoctrinated, from kindergarten, into the fact that everything should be instant and free: phones, TV, internet, software, etc. This has been going on for a few decades and we are seeing the results with each passing election.
Right now, I have no answers as to what we need to do.
