Each year for the last 7 years where I’ve lived, I’ve spent over $200 each Halloween on candy. Spent the night out there looking at low lifes coming to my sub division in my little town mooching candy because its where they can make the biggest haul. Trailer renting Section 8’ers, illegal Mexicans, inundating our sub division to the point the police and fire department have to manage the influx. Virtually no costumes, no enthusiasm, no opening “Trick or Treat” - just holding out their effing pillow case for their ‘handout’ (again)....Nope, not gonna happen again.

This year, my porch lite will be dark. I’ll buy some candy for the late daylight hours when the sub division kids come around early with their moms and dads, but screw the rest of the Obama moochers. They don’t get sh!t this year.

I have thought for a long time that Halloween was just a slick way of turning children into beggars.

Nothing like sending you kid out, dressed up in a costume to beg for candy, by threatening those who are supposed to be kind by giving them some.

Just like real socialism. Give free food, homes, phones, etc.etc, etc. Then when you tell the lazy bums we are broke, they threaten to take riot.

Threaten to cut taxes or fight against a proposed tax increase and the police and firemen all get together by threatening we will lose our fire or police protection.

We train them up well on how to get what they want for free don’t we?

Very similar here. We used to go all out with decorations, costumes and candy. Yes HUNDREDS of dollars of usually very unique candy because I had friends who owned a csndy warehouse. They gave me huge discounts and even then it cost hundreds.

And because I ran an unusual business that did custom work for hotels, bars, restaurants and other entertainment venues I had lasers, smoke shows, fiber optic lighting and other special effects.

One year I wore a big yellow inflatable environmental suit. Inside were green glow sticks. I looked exactly like Homer Simpson with a nuke rod in his suit.

Even though we were on a side street we would get 500+ kids and that was before the late bused in crowd.

After things died down the neighbors would all gather in my yard and we would build a big fire in the firepit, sit around all night and enjoy...a grown up Halloween.

Then things changed the bused in crowd came earlier and earlier. Really we didn’t mind much but it got to the point where they were belligerent and demanding. They would bring sacks and claim they wanted more stuff for brothers and sisters.

But we did know some of those and that they didn’t have siblings. We even heard bragging about getting over on us and our neighbors.

When our kids were grown we cut back...not much but it wasn’t the same. A few years ago we moved to a nearby apartment complex. We could still do some Halloween here but prefer to go to our kids homes...in the same neighborhood... and help them and the grandkids.

Same here in TX. Growing up in Texas, we didn’t see the truckloads of illegals Trick or Treating til the mid ‘70’s. It progressively got worse over the years. Relatives in other parts of the country were astonished about this - the illegals coming by the truck and van full to get hand out’s. Now, it probably happens across most of the country.
