I think it’s intentional. Look above the missing ‘R’ and you can see an arrow and a sentence. They probably think they are being funny.

It looks intentional to me, since there is an arrow or something pointing to where the “R” should be, and an “R” and some text above that. So, it probably says something like “Get the R’s Out in 2012”, but it’s too blurry to read that part.
