Jim Grant was driving home in Carlsbad, California, when he came to a fork in the road.
No, an actual fork.
The oversized kitchen utensil was 6 feet high, made of wood, painted silver and mounted in the concrete island at the intersection of Levante Street and Anillo Way in south Carlsbad.

Isn’t this down in your neck of the woods? :)
Why, the fork not.
One of the suburbs here in Kansas City has “art” in the median and along side the road for a few miles. Some of it is pretty good, some is okay and some WTF
But the best art project was the speed limit signs that replaced the real ones. The real ones had a 35 on them, the “art” ones read 34.
The number of folks hitting the brakes was amazing:-)

ROFL
LOL. That was a funny Carson routine
Two pieces of cutlery diverged in a yellow wood and I ... I took the other one.
This is a fun story but the comments section at the CNN (CNN!) link are even better. It’s a real Punville over there. Looks just like a FR thread (hmmm..?).
LOL
“Isnt this down in your neck of the woods?”
It’s about 5 miles south of me.
The city already took it down, calling it a traffic hazard.
Why these people be *hatin’* Robert Frost?
The Road Not Taken
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim
Because it was grassy and wanted wear,
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I marked the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I,
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
