Bernard Kerik appeared in court yesterday and his change in appearance was quite dramatic. The first pic below shows Bernie after his dramatic weight close which you can compare to an earlier pic of a much heavier Bernie at the bottom. So what was his weight loss secret? And will Bernie write a book about how he took all those pounds off?
TOPICS: Health/Medicine
KEYWORDS: berniekerik; kerik
Does Bernie have a new weight loss method or was he on the Atkin's Diet or the South Beach Diet? Maybe he was doing that cookie diet I used to see on the tube where you just popped a cookie whenever you had the munchies.

In jail calories are limited, plenty of time to exercise or maybe he just got tired of being heavy.

Maybe they don’t have Ben and Jerry’s Fudge Brownie in prison.

He’s on one of two unique prison diets.
One is the “catcher’s diet” where you have so much self-loathing that you vomit constantly.
The other is the “pitcher’s diet” where you burn off several thousand calories per “session”.
Either way, you lose weight.

His
secrets: 'hes read more than 250 books while behind bars, and follows a fitness routine that includes 1,000 daily pushups.'
'does calisthenics two to three times a day, and has shed 60 pounds. Kerik now weighs in at between 190 and 200 pounds.'

Did he go to Attica or to a minimum security prison?

[Did he go to Attica or to a minimum security prison?]
I don't know. It was a joke. But I imagine he would have gone to some minimum security camp. If he was in a medium or max security prison he would be segregated in a protective custody (PC) unit, him being a cop. If that was the case it could explain a weight loss. PC inmates are kept in a highly secure block or pod. They don't leave except for exercise in their own fenced-in yard. Snitches, transvestites and other unpopular convicts live in this unit. Their meals are brought to them in their cells. Often inmates in the kitchen will sabotage PC’s food in ways you can imagine.
