Watching Heather and Heather on FoxNews around 0545 EST, and suddenly it went out, with a messaging stating I was no longer authorized for that channel. The others work fine...
I’m a chick and I can’t stand watching Imus!
...just say’en. we got DTV back in the Clintoon Administration ONLY because of FOX.
FOX is our always-on station but we’re really disappointed with DTV. What good is 200 channels if they all go to commercial at the same time and 100 of them are infomercial channels?
Only because of FOX do we tolerate DTV.
Direct “dish” has a way of sensing your thoughts when watching Heather and Heather. Keep it clean and you’ll have no problems.
I tried DISH, but came back over for the Nascar/NFL stuff. I also keep DTV 360 as my default!
Decisions! Decisions!!! I can dream...
We got DISH Network during the Clinton administration. Clinton issued the waiver that allowed Echostar to launch their satellite from China. Consequently China got all of our satellite technology.
Read Deception by Charles R Smith. You couldn’t find a copy of the book anywhere during the 2008 primaries when Hillary was running. I wondered if that is what Obama was holding over her.
All this is very interesting..Our DISH began to have a problem right before the Vice-Presidential Debate. I am wondering whether it will happen tonight again.
I get more than 50 different commercial-free movie channels.
I watch the Blaze on Dish Network.
I got personal email on Facebook from Heather Childs...she told me my anti Obama statements were very funny, but she just would like me to tone it down. :)
Cable is NOT Dish. This seemed to be a nation-wide interruption. Mine went out just as Hillary was taking blame for the lack of security in Benghazi. It almost seemed like WITCHCRAFT! But, how could it affect BOTH cable and dish?
I did but they took it off my package a week ago. They also removed Current (which I could care less about),and the DIY network.
Removal of The Blaze PO’d me though.
I wish it would work for our lousy Directv DVR. That thing freezes and pixels out regularly, despite having performed repeated resets and everything else those hapless "technicians" told us to do. It froze up Sunday night during the season premiere of the Walking Dead. We're about ready to go back to cable (so you know it must be bad).
If you have Cox stay away from WHDVR.
Thank you——will make note of it.
They may both get their feed the same way. Just because one is satellite to you and the other is cable to someone else doesn’t tell you how the incoming gets to both.
If you have had your service for more than a year, you MAY be able to get another one. Call them... or email!
We’ve been with them since Primestar in the late 90s. My husband says he’s done talking with them, so I think I’ll give them a call-—thanks.

If that’s a leased unit (and unless something unusual is going on, it should be), they are supposed to repair or replace it if it’s going screwy. I had a few bad units in a row, and customer service finally went out of their way to send me a specific model known for being more reliable — the drawback to leased replacements is that they tend to come from refurbs, so you could run into multiple bad units in a row.
That said, I’m done with ‘em. When my contract expires next year, I’m dropping the whole thing, going with OTA, BD/DVD, iTunes, and Netflix (or similar) only.
