I sooooo miss you. I bathed with your soap last night! :)
LOLOLOLOL.
Love you, guy!
You’re just tryin’ to give me “the big head,” ain’t ya?
My husband said to tell TOL that he really digs “fresh cut grass.”
Amazing! Mine put SOAP out FIRST, (freshly cut green grass) next to the kitchen sink.
Nah! You’re humble too, dear.
Yes, I knew I was in trouble when the “Fresh Cut Grass” scent was immediately the most popular one.
I hope y’all liked the other scents as well. Sigh...
Tex, please tell your husband I said, “Thank you!!”
And a big “Thank you!!” to DrO as well.
Happy Dance for me last night = Rose fragrance! LOVE IT! SILK powder!
Only someone like a cruel bitch would do that. ;)
They all contain silk powder and cosmetic micas. The silk makes them smooth, and the micas make them sparkle.
I guess this means that I really have to make more for next year, huh. I think I’ll start making them a bit sooner this time. They should all be colored as well, but I hadn’t dug through the packed boxes in my craft room. Before long, it will all be set up and ready for making soap.
When we moved here from California, I had an inventory of what was in each of about 400 boxes. I carefully photographed the contents of each one, added descriptions, and stuck them in a 3-ring binder. I still have it, of course.
But for the short, 1-mile move from the rental to this place, I wasn’t so thorough (kicks self), so I can’t find stuff. Sigh... It will all get done eventually.
That's nice.
Because since I'm as charming as Sean Connery and look like
Brad Pitt bred with Mel Gibson, with a bit of Bruce Willis on the side...
I can afford to be magnanimous.
You forgot as witty as Oscar Wilde, as urbane as James Bond, and have the Gangnam Style of PSY.
..... and you are as imaginitive as Mark Twain, apparently. ;)
Can you make soap from scratch?
It will be a good after-the-collapse skill to barter. :)
I’m still hoping not to get called on the Pitt breeding with Gibson imagery.
Besides, it's not believable. Now if you had paired Pitt with CRUISE, then THAT could have worked out. They both eat The Nancy Salad. :)
Yes. All my soap is made from scratch using fats, oils, and lye with added extras, colors, scents, silk, micas, etc.
I started out in 1999 with a kitchen scale and soon found out it wasn’t adequate.
Bryan bought me a triple-beam balance accurate to .1 gram, and my soap has come out very well ever since.
I learned all about saponification of fats with lye and the behavior and the sap. value of each fat/oil.
Then I wrote my own formulas, and we have not bought a bar of soap since, LOL!
Can you make me a few bars of that?
