LIE!
And average incomes are down $4,000, not even adjusted for inflation. There are a lot of degreed engineers out there working at 7-Eleven to make ends meet. That is the point that needs to be hammered home.
Actually, and IMHO only, another item the purple lipped prince cannot debate if it is brought up in a public forum. It would open up the avenue of explaining how many people actually dropped off the rolls, which is the TRUE reason the % dropped.
This is a one time flash to the public with hopes it does not come up in the Biden/Ryan debate...I hope and pray it does, although not as many people will tune in as they did for the POTUS debate (many us and a few others looking for Pappa Joe gaffes).
There is no way zero debates this with Romney. Again, IMHO only. Dixelrod's mileage may vary.
The shocking part is labor force participation WENT UP. Nobody understands these numbers. They are so far out of line with the last 4 years that they are ridiculous.
CNBC posting details on screen. 114,000 nonfarm jobs in Sept.(104,000 private sector) vs. 142,000 in August.
It was reported at 8:30am eastern (it just came out today). Saw it live on CNBC.
@DanielAlpert: Whoa, folks, stop music. Part time for econ reasons skyrocketed by 582,000! The unemp. rate went down b/c of part time.
Well SHAZAAM! Isn’t that amazing! Right beofore the election. Top of the news every half hour for the next month. What a joke.
I’m still trying to digest this, but from what I just heard on CNBC the labor force participation rate did not go down.
If that is the case, what I think happened is the massive revisions they did for June, July and August (pushing those numbers up by 80,000 per month) is what maybe made the math work to push the unemployment rate down to 7.8%.
Too late for the economic debate but at the Town Hall debate Obama will have 7.8% posted on his dias.
THEY LIE!
< /Joe Wilson tone>
Its like a ..... MIRACLE!
Raise thy hands, believe in government and the Won, repent of thy desire to have low taxes and personal responsibility and thou shall have jobs just in time for the election.
Tis truly the bounty of 1.3 GDP and a staggering manufacturing output.
(But since this month is all about Obama, as every month is, the number was 144 million in 2008, and 139 today. Five million (mostly middle-class) families losing a bread-winner during Obama's watch. Team Romney, pick up this number!!!!)
Rick Santelli always makes me laugh. He called it.
Bull CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!
