President Barack Obama and GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney will not only be debating each other for the very first time tonight, they will also be subjected to an involuntary lie detector test.
The lobbying group Americans for Limited Government (ALG) announced Wednesday that they have contracted with the company Voice Analysis Technology to separate the truth from fiction during the presidential debate.
ALG President Bill Wilson called the technology a break-through for the American people.
For the first time, within a few hours of a political debate, the American people will know if the candidates are telling the truth, and better be able to judge what promises are real, and which ones are nothing more than political pandering, Wilson said in a statement.
The organization said it plans to publish the results of the so-called lie detector test within three hours of the debates conclusion.
Americans for Limited Government explains how the technology works:
Unlike a traditional polygraph which requires a suspects cooperation, and places numerous probes on the persons body, voice analysis literally takes the words right out of a persons mouth and based upon variations in speech patterns determines if statements being made are true or not with a high degree of accuracy. With words like inaccurate, person uncertain, false statement, highly stressed and truth, the users computer screen literally explodes with data related to the veracity of the subjects assertions.
Further, Voice Analysis Technology, the company behind the truth-telling technology, has an impressive track record.
They have been hired to help with a number of high profile criminal cases, including the search for the person who killed Natalie Holloway, the teen who vanished during a student trip in Aruba, according to a ALG press release. The company was also enlisted to detect the accuracy of one of former presidential candidate Herman Cains accusers during the primary. The results indicated she was being dishonest in her accusations.
The U.S. Department of Defense, Bureau of Prisons, the Los Angeles County Sheriffs Department and more than sixty other law enforcement agencies across the U.S. all have contracted with Voice Analysis Technology to help them successfully interrogate suspects, the release said.
The operating assumption by the general public is that if a politicians mouth is moving, he or she must be lying, by putting Obama and Romney to the test, we will find out if this is true, Wilson said.
It is unclear how seriously the mainstream media will take the results, despite Voice Analysis Technologys reputation for getting to the truth. Either way, it should be exciting.
TheBlaze will bring you the lie detector results as soon as they become available Wednesday night, so keep an eye out for updates.

Yes, of course, now this technology can be used in job interviews, welfare applications — OOPS, better call on the ACLU to spend our tax dollars to fight it!
Psycopathic liars do quite well with many lie detectors.
Let me guess...Obama will be telling the truth and Romney lying according to “official” results.
One major problem comes along with this type of technology when encountering sociopaths like Zero, because they actually believe every lie they tell themselves. It’s extremely difficult for us to detect chronic liars who make things up as they go. It could backfire on us, because Romney actually has a conscious and knows the truth.
What about the circumstance where the person being examined feels no stress in telling lies? He feels no moral compunction to be honest and therefore doesn’t show up as a liar on the detector?
Poly testing is good, but not infallible. A paranoid schizo and a few other psychos will sail right through.
One of my old bosses would fall straight into that class. He could change his story several times during a ten minute conversation.
“Let me guess...Obama will be telling the truth and Romney lying according to official results.”
Those results will be in before Halftime.
Join this technology with the woman that appears on the ORielly every now and then
I think it's just another tactic of the left. If so, it'll show Romney lying most of the time and, to try to show "fairness", Zero lying one or two times. It's all for the leftist pundits (who claim to be the "news" media) to help them in declaring Zero to be the debate winner.
After all, they already have their stories written (and I do mean "stories").
Obama is a habitual liar, so no test will work on him.
At least the ALG seem to be a right-of-center group, so it may not be all smoke and mirrors.
Won’t work on Nobama. He’s a pathological narcissist. He can beat the lie detectors.
In my opinion, she's sympathetic to democrat politicians. She always gives them the benefit of the doubt. Republicans usually have a good reading, but she always comes up with a "But....." that has no benefit of the doubt.
"I believe Hillary is being totally honest. That twitch is probably normal for her where it may not be for someone else. I'd ignore that twitch this time."
"Cheney believes what he says, BUT, see that twitch? That twitch always means a person is not really sure they're making a good decision. "
The same twitch, but a completely different reading depending on the persons political affiliation. Watch for it. You'll notice it now if you haven't before. She never slams a democrat. She always "pokes" a Republican in the end no matter what.

The voice analyzer will crash when it tries to detect all of Obama’s lies.
Hopefully, they'll all be compensated with real three dollar bills.
LOL
Yes, they certainly do.
