I need your help too.....

The current trade for Romney winning is 1@ $2.16

Does that mean that I can purchase 500 shares at $2.16 per share ($1,080.00) in anticipation that Romney will win the election?

And if he does win the election, what will be the payout to me?

Well put.

Which leaves us with a painful truth:
In choosing between the lesser of two evils, we still get evil - yet must make the choice of the lesser evil precisely because it is the _lesser_ evil, evil though it may be.
Indeed, hard to persuade others with that argument, but persuade we must.

But that's the whole point of my post; if it were just Romney but the Republican party were what it said it was about, that would give some confidence that they would keep him from doing evil... but being that they do not do what they say they will do, they provide no such check to the man. Indeed, the more that the Republican party takes its constituents for granted (because of the stated-but-not-pursued goals) the more they become merely liars, to the point that even if they would stand0up for something no-one would [or even should] believe them -- It is a case of the boy who cried wolf; they have-become/are-becoming storm-clouds that taunt, dark but not bringing rain.

But, as I've said on this very thread: I am unconvinced that Romney is not a greater evil than Obama.
Some may say that's supporting Obama; they're idiots though: mistrust in one does not equate to trues in the other. Just because I think the used car guy is sleazy doesn't mean that I don't think the snake-oil salesman is sleazy too.

Hey now, that's not right.
I've never liked Romney, and I've given valid reasons why I will not vote for him.

Hey there...if you had followed my posts during the primaries, you would have known that my preferences was not Romney (it was Cain & Newt). But I know the difference between Romney & Obama.

“I do believe Romney will win.”

I am afraid Intrade is getting this right. What hope Romney had essentially disappeared after all of his gaffes.

Of course, the GOP Establishment had said that Santorum and Gingrich were the candidates that could not be trusted!

We need to now look at how the 2013 Republican House will do battle vs. Obama and his Democratic Senate.

I predict that a portion (25%?) of the Republican House will give in to the Democrats on immediate tax increases in return for “phantom” spending cuts in the future, and that the Republican Party will disintegrate after that.

It is time to start planning for a new, GENUINE, conservative party. Republican Party - R.I.P.

All I needed to see to know you're either a concern troll or a person with a truly grave case of craniorectal insertion. Yeah, he's a gaffe machine and the guy who runs off to party in Vegas while the Middle East burns is the clear winner more than five weeks out.

Rent a tractor and pull your head out, sport. Or go back to DU. Door's to your left.

I like Gary Johnson a great deal but then it doesn’t matter so much what I do here in Wa state. The state will go Obama.

When I told other folks to ignore you because you’re helping a Marxist and calling it some sort of patriotic service, I should have taken my own advice. In other words, I shouldn’t feed the trolls.

See post 19 and my comments on it in other posts. If something being likely on Intrade meant it was likely in real life, Rob Portman would be the nominee for VP and the SCOTUS would have overturned Obamacare.

Those who are wise realize that we will choose between two evils every time we go to the ballot box unless we write in Jesus.

In all seriousness, I ask the same question that I asked people in 2004: Why not write in George Washington? If you’re going to vote for a candidate who can’t possibly take the oath on Jan 20 instead of helping stop Obama, why not vote for the best presidential candidate there ever was?

for O it is 739,359 shares at an average of around 7.80 so around 5.7m.
for Rom it is 890,611 shares at an average of around 2.15 so about 1.9m.

From that, it looks like more people are betting on Romney... but the bigger bettors are taking Obama.

I'm not a troll; a troll is someone who stirs up strife/excitement for jollies.

Someone else [BlackElk] said what I've been trying to say, possibly more simply than I have:

Any rational person despises Obozo. BUT, any rational person also despises Myth Romney. […] One simply CANNOT materially cooperate with the evil that is Myth Romney any more than with Obozo.

The notion (however questionable) that this useless GOP pig is marginally better than that Democrat one has a name: moral relativism. Conservatism is NOT about moral relativism.
