Last Night I Cried

Posted on 09/27/2012 8:32:28 AM PDT by SandyLynn

Last night, I gave in and cried. As the Mom of 3 kids, I feel hopeless. The polls show that Obama is winning, whether we try to deny it or not. I keep asking myself "Who are these so-called Americans who will re-elect this disaster we've had in office for almost 4 years?" I am scared. Scared for the lives my children will have to live, thanks to the resident currently occupying the White House. No, I will never call him my president..in my opinion, you have to EARN that title. And the man who currently occupies the White House is much more concerned about being popular with the "in" crowd..you know, the Hollywood Liberals. Who cares that gas prices have tripled since he took office? That food prices have skyrocketed? That most of us who work for a living are struggling from paycheck to paycheck while the lazy people live off of our hard work? Hopeless. I keep going back to that word..because I feel as though we have nowhere to go. And shock. Because I cannot believe we have so many stupid Americans in our country! Don't get me wrong. I will vote, and cast my vote for Romney. But really, is it enough? I don't think so. Fellow FReepers..is all lost, as I think it is?

Turn off the media except real conservative talk radio and message boards like FR.

Zero is nowhere near as strong as the Godless communists pretend him to be.

Relax. The polls you are reading are total garbage. You may as well pick up a “Magic Eight Ball” and ask it who is going to win.

They don’t even claim their polls are predictive of the final vote. They are a “snap shot in time” which even if the results were accurate (they aren’t) would be worthless.

Let me guess, you are voting for a 3rd party candidate?

Perhaps you believe all of those that proclaim Romney isn't conservative enough.

I sincerely hope I am wrong, or her fears may well be well founded.

Do not believe the polls..go to unskewedpolls.com...read what is behind the polls and how they arrive wrongly at their conclusion..by using skewed polls. they hope mainly, I believe to discourage the conservative base...But just like 2010, this will be a landslide..pray,talk to people, and vote....do not be discouraged......

I think Romney will win. The polls are so terribly skewed, heavily weighted Dem. I can’t believe them. The truth is that I don’t agree with some who seem to think it will be a major victory for the GOP. I see a thin victory where we may even pick up Wisconsin this time.

However, I still pray for the best and prepare, financially, physically, spiritually for the worst. I’m scared too. Can you imagine what our Supreme Court will look like after another 4 years of Obama? Then again, maybe being scared is a good thing because it keeps my eyes focused on what the country needs and what the country might have to endure for another 4 years. So pray, take care of your family and pray some more.

Again, please don’t fall into the trap of despair. Acknowledge the feeling, get outside and talk a walk, or take a bubble bath and have a cup of coffee. :)

Moreover, and no BS on my part, I really do believe Romney will win in Nov by 3-4pts.

Dont have time for people that watch left-wing news outlets and then come to FR to emote and look for therapy.

I understand your sentiments. But I do trot throught the weed pasture now and then on MSNBC, CNN, etc. to see what MSM talking points are being shovelled at the sheep. It helps me understand where liberals are getting their information and allows me to prepare a logical reaction to overt stupidity on display when I happen to engage an Obamabot. You'd be surprised (or maybe not) how often a liberal will simply recite what Chris Mathews or Rachel Madcow said on "last night's" show.

There is something very powerful when a lib makes a statement, seemingly of their own volition, and you respond with, "Here is where Chris Mathews is wrong when he said that last night on Hardball....." In one short exchange you can not only establish your credibility but also make them question their own convictions.

Sadly, we need Aragorn and we got Grima Wormtongue. Well, I guess he’s better than Sauron. That said, the polls are attempting to depress GOP turn out even more so they can come true.

There isn’t a chance in heck that Zero will win.

Don't under estimate the stupidity of the American people. I grew up in Coal Country and near the mines were Mitt campaigned several weeks back... you would be shocked how many of those miners are pro obama... Heck a friend of the family has a son in the Army and he said the same thing- a significant number of pro obama troops.

The election is not going to be a cakewalk..it's going to be very close but Mitt will prevail...I think people will do the right thing when it comes down to it.

I have to agree with this. Trust in God. And start to think, if he wins, what will I do? The first thing to do - trust more in God and look within yourself as to what is needed to be a better Christian. We do not live for this world, but for the next world. You - all of us - possess immortal souls. You are going to live forever, so to paraphrase Dirty Harry, where do you want to be when this mortal body is done? Forever in Hell or forever in Heaven? It is is your choice.

The next thing to do if he wins re-election is to steady yourself for bad times. It will be extremely difficult for your faith. Many will fail. I pray to God I have the strength to keep Jesus on my mind and lips when I am put to the test. And we will be put to the test.

Do not despair. Keep the faith. Be not afraid. God has a plan. He knows the number of hairs on your head. He cares for you and will not fail you if you keep the faith.

Ever been lied to? That's what the Obama campaign and the MSM is doing. Their goal is to get you so discouraged that you won't even go out and vote. Are you going to let them win?

Despair is a sin

That's just bullsh!t utter nonsense.

Fixating on it and/or wallowing in it certainly 'misses the mark', but simply experiencing the phenomenon is no more a 'sin' than joy or anger or sweet potatoes.

Sandy,
Let not your heart be troubled! As others have mentioned, remember the Chick Fil A response. This was but a microcosm of what will transpire in Nov. Remember also 2010. The “inside the beltway” crowd was completely STUNNED by the results of 2010. Many of them are still in denial. May I also suggest if you haven’t already, go to Freedomworks.org and sign up with Freedom Connector. It will put you in touch with like minded people in your area.

You have good reason to be concerned. I am hopeful that Romney is still in the race, but we must consider that our Nation has changed so much that enough people in this country have been fooled into believing that they need the Government to survive, and too many of our leaders have figured out the best way to stay in power is keep the class warfare going, keep us divided as a Nation.

I ask God all the time, are we no longer in God’s favor? Are we no longer the most blessed Nation that has ever been on the face of this planet?

Our Nation’s people, including its leaders, judges, politicians, teachers, etc, have done everything possible to remove God from all aspects of our lives. We can’t pray in our schools, we can’t have the 10 Commandments on display in our Courts or government buildings, we see Christians and Jews being persecuted all over the world, some physically, some emotionally, and much of it here in our country, we allow youth sports and functions to infer with Sunday (or Saturday) services, yet we cry out to God and call everyone to prayer when someone shoots up that very school where prayers are not allowed, or even children wearing clothes that give deference to Christ.

I strongly believe we haven’t seen the worst of it. If we don’t change course quickly, it will be too late. I believe that America will have seen its best days, and it will rapidly crumble under the weight of its greedy, lazy faithless people.

As long as he wins, I’m happy! Boy, when I posted this thread, I didn’t realize I would anger some FReepers. That was not my intention at all. I am so glad to get so many positive comments from a lot of you..I am keeping the faith! I am a Catholic, and have to admit I am so disappointed at the number of us (not myself) who voted for Obama in 2008. I certainly hope they learned their lesson! In all honesty, I do not watch any of the lame stream media channels..I would go crazy if I did. I come to Free Republic every single day to remind myself that there are many of us out there, fighting to get our country back. Somedays are harder than others, and for some reason this has been a tough week! Thanks to you, and everyone for your uplifting comments today!

Sandy...do you know why the psych ops is so hot and heavy from the lying pollsters?

They are really terrified about Romney's upcoming debate performance.

Romney is a professional...he really is.

He has been through many of these trials, politically and in the business world. He is very. very smart.

He made it through a VERY tough primary and even has a large majority of freepers(!) rooting for him which would have been inconceivable 4 months ago.

The liberals are very, very scared right now and they know exactly how to psych you out. We are in good shape...chin up.
