Zachary Tennen, a 19-year-old sophomore at Michigan State University, was at an off-campus party when two college-aged men approached him and demanded to know if he was Jewish.
When Zachary said he was, the men made a Hitler salute, said they were part of the Ku Klux Klan, and beat him unconscious, breaking his jaw in the process.
While he was knocked out, one of them stapled the boys mouth shut while guests at the party watched. No one intervened or called the police instead, the other guests kicked Zachary out of the house the moment the 19-year-old came to.
Zachary is scheduled for surgery this week, but his trials are far from over. As East Lansing police try to find the men who assaulted him, department spokesmen claim they dont believe the attack was a hate crime, and are refusing to investigate it as such.

Since the KKK was chartered as an arm of the democrat party I would say the first place to look for the suspects is the local union and democrat party headquarters.
This wasn’t a hate crime. It was a bunch of drunks at a party.
Motive is not an element if crime. We may now punish it, but that doesn’t make it a crime. That merely makes the legal system u just.
I think this was from some time ago and there are a lot of questions regarding a lack of witnesses and such.
Journalism sophomore, off campus party, unidentified party... Why does this smell like yet another fake?
Good grief, if it wasn’t motivated by hate why would they ask him if he was Jewish?
Ever get the feeling something in the story is just a little too pat, like that Professor who claimed she was getting death threats and a video was found of her hanging a noose on her own door? I get that feeling in this story. Something’s fishy.
Typical Democrats.
Police also have no evidence that Tennen's mouth was stapled as he maintains, Murphy said.
....
Murphy said Tennen felt a wire in his mouth that he believed was a staple.
"We haven't found anything about staples. ... This was one punch to the mouth," the police captain said.
The KKK was ALL DEMOCRATS!!!!!
I’ve been watching this one in the news and there doesn’t appear to be any there there.
My impression is that the kid got drunk and got his butt kicked and needed a cover story and is now afraid to back down.
On the OTHER hand, Michigan has a sizable population of Muzzies.
Amish bishop Samuel Mullet Sr. was convicted yesterday of federal hate crimes and conspiracy for exhorting followers to forcibly shear the hair and beards of those who opposed his breakaway Ohio sect. Mullets three sons, his daughter and 11 other family members and followers in his ultra-strict Amish order 100 miles southeast of Cleveland also were convicted of conspiracy and hate crimes after a trial that attracted international attention. The 66-year-old bishop could face life in prison for his crimes.
Why not give this kid the benefit of the doubt unless and until the investigation reveals he made the story up?
For starters, who was at that party? Among all of them, they should be able to find at least one witness.
If it really went down as he claimed, then I think Tennen must have been an unwelcome guest at the party. If so, it was probably something he said.
Don't interpret my speculation as condoning what happened. Furthermore, someone should have intervened -- no matter how far out-of-line they thought Tennen might have been.
Thanks, I was wondering how soon someone would try to score political points over this story, if true.
KKK or sons of pig f’n dogs; what is the difference? Still democrat supporters with like views.
He apparently just got his ass kicked.
I believe this story was shown to be half BS. He got punched at a drunken party, but police did not find evidence of many of his claims.
