Why not give this kid the benefit of the doubt unless and until the investigation reveals he made the story up?
Because the kid is flat out lying.....you didn't see the interview at his house. He's got a swollen cheek and a broken jaw from being punched out and that's it. No evidence of having his mouth stapled shut other than his statement that he found a staple lodged in his gums.
cops were never notified until after he went to the hospital. And I suspect the only reason they were called is that the kid was going to have to explain to his Jewish parents why he, a 19 year old sophomore, was drunk at a party instead of in his dorm studying. Making this appear to be an anti-semite hate crime would then garner him sympathy and allow his parents to lawyer up........as they have already done.
