“Claire McCaskill is doing cartwheels.”
And writing another check to his campaign.
Jim you can delete this thread if you like.
I, Me, I Me, ME Myself, I, I, I me, me mine....
He is going up against the third dumbest person in the Senate (save for her savvy support of his campaign) and has found a way to prove that he is dumber. Thanks moron.
Claire McCaskill has been incredibly lucky in being able to choose her opponent. Very much the same as Obama was able to eliminate his opponents for state Senate and US Senate before helping John McCain become his opponent in 2008.
McCaskill must be absolutely stunned at how easy this is. By Monday, she`ll be sending Akin`s campaign a half-million $ and another length of rope.
Akin staying in,

Theres American Exceptionalism right there...
Claire McCaskill is doing cartwheels.

yes. because of GOP-e types, who sacrifice principle,
simply to win power.
...proved by your continuing to misquote the man!
-
the left will use the clumsy words against us anyway.
99% of the damage, is being done by the GOP-e!
THEY are the ones doing most of the misquoting,
and personal attacks, on an honest man!
-
how about a little loyalty and integrity, from the GOP-e?
i don’t like Romney. he’s too liberal.
but, i’m ready to vote for him, as Mr Robinson said.
...is a TINY bit of support and respect impossible,
for true conservatives?
...has Romney never made a gaffe, or flip-flopped?
right or wrong, Akin is in.
now, it’s the turn of the GOP-e types,
to show THEY are “team players”,
and support an admittedly imperfect conservative (Akin)
as we support an admittedly imperfect moderate (Romney) !

Excellent!
Akin is the only Republican that can win, and the only one worth voting for.
When he gets elected we’ll have one more true conservative patriot that will resist the GOPe scum caucus.
So what - they were doing cart-wheels when Ryan was announced as the VP pick. Did you wet yourself then?
This whole thing is a mountain out of a molehill.
YES, it was a stupid statement and that alone shows me he doesn’t have good judgement.
That said women DO to some extenr regulate their cycles. Isn’t a fact, I can’t quote the studies right now, that females in groups, like in a college dorm or in a close family, sync their cycles?
Isn’t that known to anilmal breeders?
If that can be altered other things may be alterable as well.
The problem is semantics, legitimate rape versus brutal rape. Yes all rapes can be described as brutal however I am refering to a rape that triggers drastic hormone response.
Without getting too far into details is it posdible for a victim of a brutal rape to get pregnant? YES! However it may not be probable.
Akin knows more about his state than I do. If it were me I would step down but he may know something I don’t.
McCaskill does not want her prize toy withdrawing before Sept 25. So she will spend part of her 12 million dollar war chest
with positive ads about herself before that date without attacking him. She would not want to get too far ahead of him before that date for fear he will withdraw.Come September 25 and he cannot withdraw she will unload on him with every one of her ads ending in 2 words legitimate rape.
Is this it? No content? No intellectual musings? Biff-Boom-Fizzle
The problem here is that Akin just handed the democrats a narrative. Since most of the media is liberal, the tale that will be spun is that pro-lifers are the ignorant American Taliban. To most people, who do not follow politics like political junkies, this narrative will be all they hear.

The most common causes of failure to ovulate are:
Stress, weight fluctuations, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (P.C.O.S.). Other causes may include disorders of the pituitary gland, thyroid gland and raised prolactin levels.

In conclusion, acute stress on the day of proestrus can affect female reproductive physiology. Moreover, the angiotensinergic system, through AT(1) receptors, participates in the effects of acute stress in the morning of proestrus.

Animal breeding also is affected by stress. Zoos, in particular, have difficulty getting some animals to reproduce in captivity, Bentley said.
Based on animal experiments, researchers attribute much of this stress effect on sexual function to an increase in glucocorticoids - stress hormones - produced by the adrenal gland. In the brain, these glucocorticoids suppress the main reproductive hormone, GnRH, which in turn causes a shut-down of the release of the gonadotropins luteinizing hormone and follicle-stimulating hormone by the pituitary, and then a suppression of testosterone, estradiol and sexual behavior.
In 2000, however, a new reproductive hormone was discovered in birds and dubbed gonadotropin-inhibitory hormone (GnIH) because it had the opposite effect of GnRH - it inhibited release of gonadotropins, thereby suppressing reproduction.
Its very adaptive to not be wasting resources on reproduction during times of acute stress, to just shut down reproduction for 24 hours or so until the stress is gone, said co-author Daniela Kaufer, a UC Berkeley assistant professor of integrative biology who looks at how stress affects molecular processes in the brain. These functions go back in evolution a long way.
. . ..
Kirby showed that acutely stressed rats showed increased RFRP levels for several hours, but that levels returned to normal by the next day. Chronically stressed rats, however, were left with longer-term elevations of RFRP levels in the dorsomedial hypothalamus area of the brain, and suppression of activity in the reproductive axis - the hypothalamus-pituitary-gonadal hormone cascade - that is associated with lowered sexual activity.
Akin and His Critics
Akin was wrong about the facts, but his mistaken belief wasnt outlandish.

Not at all. It means he made a mistake, and is unwilling to let liberals from both sides of the aisle beat him down over it. I'm guessing you were a Mitt early adopter.
