Survivor: Philippines is the 25th season of Survivor. It begins September 19, 2012 on CBS at 8/7c with a special 90 minute episode.
'Survivor: Philippines': Jeff Probst explains the big twist for next season
Each team will have a returning player who was removed from play in a previous season because of illness or injury. Spoiler sites have named the supposed returning players and the regular media has picked it up. I won't be listed them yet, but you are free to do so on this thread.
This season takes place in Caramoan, Camarines Sur, Philippines.
The cast includes retired major league baseball player Jeff Kent (2000 National League Most Valuable Player with the San Francisco Giants) and actress Lisa Whelchel (The New Mickey Mouse Club, The Facts of Life).
Kalabaw Tribe: Carter, Dana, Jeff, Katie, Sarah, returning player to be named later
Matsing Tribe: Angie, Denise, Malcolm, Roxanne Roxy, Zane, returning player to be named later
Tandang Tribe: Abi-Maria, Artis, Lisa, Peter "Pete", Roberta R.C., returning player to be named later

Anyway what the h*** was the deal with Jeff Kent. The last 15 minutes all they show is the team being on board with blindsiding Jonathan and then when Katie is voted out Jeff Kent shakes his head as if to say that wasn't supposed to happen and yet he voted for her too. This year they are substituting deceptive editing for the absence of drama.
What’s interesting is that both teams thought that they lost in that deal — so it was probably a draw. And I love Artis complaining about it — yeh right — it wasn’t his head stuck in the mud and body exhausted.
That deal in the preview about the big boat showing up and everyone running around smells like merge to me.
To have an odd numbered jury are we headed to a final two?
Reward challenge winner: Kalabaw, via negotiation. Tandang agrees to give up the reward to Kalabaw in exchange for Kalabaw's supply of rice.
Immunity challenge winner: Tandang
Kalabaw Tribe (red buffs): Carter, Denise, Jeff, Jonathan
Tandang Tribe (yellow buffs): Abi-Maria, Artis, Lisa, Malcolm, Michael, Pete, RC
Eliminated: Angie, Dana, Dawson, Katie, Roxy, Russell, Zane
Immunity Idol status - Kalabaw: Jonathan found an idol and told Jeff about it.
Immunity Idol status - Tandang: Abi-Marie found an idol and told Pete about it. Pete later told Malcolm about it. Malcolm found an idol and showed it to Denise while both were members of the now defunct Matsing tribe.

As of Survivor: Nicaragua, this is a new Survivor ping list. The old list is no longer available, so I would appreciate it if any of you could ping interested parties to this thread. Thank you. :)
If you want added to or removed from this ping list, please let me know.
Maybe he was hoping that Penner would have been worried enough to play his HII.
I liked final twos much better than threes.
It’s been a while since we’ve had a final 2. The last two seasons one of the final 3 received no votes at all so maybe that’s why.
Yep — that explains it.
If Jeff had said that there were letters from home involved, that deal never would have been struck. I'm guessing that when the other tribe finds out (probably after the merge) that they're going to be gunning for Penner for 'stealing their mail from home.'
Penner probably calculated out the number of players remaining, likelihood of a three person ending, and figured a merge was possibly right before the immunity challenge the next day. Worst case scenario, they would be without rice for a couple days until the merge. Seems like a smart deal to me.
I can’t remember if the game gives a new stock of food staples after a merge, but if not, do you see the other tribe willingly share the rice (if there is any left to share)? The boat and fishing gear may sway them to the side of generosity I guess. I also was wondering what happened to the remaining rice from Malcom and Denise’s camp. Was it divided up or returned to production? Just some of the strange stuff that floats around inside my head.
Carter really isn’t there. He’s just a figment of our imaginations. I ended up tuning out the show and waiting to see if he was going to say anything, which he didn’t. Funny how the camera kept going back to him and his excellent imitation of a bump on a log.
If Katie hadn’t done so badly, it would have been Penner walking the path of shame.
Whew, Lisa can get down and dirty with the rest of them. Good for her! And, as usual, Abi was sitting out ANOTHER challenge. I don’t get it??? Someone, please explain.
They have been down on Mike this whole season. I don’t know what he’s done to tick them all off and we really haven’t seen anything except just week of him eating rice. If both teams have about the same amount left, then I can’t see how he’s been eating them out of house and home unless it’s just drama.
Malcolm is doing great and caught that last ball over Jeff. Jeff’s buddies back home will not let him live that one down. As good as Malcolm is doing in challenges, he might want to rethink his strategy after the merge or they’ll be afraid of him and send him home.
They’ll merge this next episode and will probably get more rice. Maybe they can bid on food again although they seem to get more food these days than when Survivor first started.

It seems like the website is working much better today.
Man - you have to learn how to use white font so you can post “spoiler” info.
Of course it’s not really “spoiler” if its based on previews but post away in “white”.
If it’s in white nobody can see it unless they highlight drag over it.
Question for those of you in the Eastern and Central time zones and those of you who have satellite: Was tonight's episode shown, or was it pre-empted?

Lisa taking a drink of wine was too funny. I’m really liking her, Malcolm and Denise.
You’d have thought the weight challenge would be geared toward the men what with their upper body/arm strength but were dropping like flies before the women did.
You’d also hve thought they’d have realized they were due to merge and been prepared. Did we not see if there was a clue in the merge food basket?
Da ta da! Carter spoke.
Penner sure got a wake up call tonight and am not shedding a tear over the RC departure.
Jeff pulled a Cochran last night. His days on the beach are numbered.
Mike didn’t seem to understand that their dislike of returning players will fall on him after Penner is gone.
Last night was the time for a big move and all that happened is some of the next to be voted out made a little move.
People are going to get tired of Jeff. He’s here, there and everywhere overplaying his hand. Best to just shut up and stay with a few close allies. There is no good reason for Jeff to go after Penner so early. Penner would have had his back but not now. Justice will be served when Jeff is ousted first (probably two weeks from now). He seems like a nice enough guy but add sprinkles and a cherry on top with both Penner and Mike outlasting him.
We know n-o-t-h-i-n-g about Pete and Artis so they’re going soon. Abi is another unknown except when Jeff keeps pointing out that she hasn’t done a thing in this game (why hasn’t she?). Those three have come this far simply on lucking out on not going to TC. Hope the editors can bring some excitement to the bootings or it’ll be big yawns.
Where are they keeping all the little personal perks? Katie had her make up, the gals have razors and tweezers. I miss the old days when they had nothing rather than 39 days at the spa.
Immunity challenge winners: Carter, Denise
Dangrayne Tribe (merged tribe - black buffs): Abi-Maria, Artis, Carter, Denise, Jeff, Jonathan, Lisa, Malcolm, Michael, Pete
Jury: RC
Eliminated: Angie, Dana, Dawson, Katie, Roxy, Russell, Zane
Immunity Idol status: Jonathan played an idol. Abi-Marie found an idol and told Pete about it. Pete later told Malcolm about it. Malcolm found an idol and showed it to Denise.

What was Lisa thinking when she was digging into other people’s stuff to hang up their clothes??? Who would want to touch another person’s underwear or anything under those circumstances. But since she has shown an interest, they should put her in charge of the laundry.
I love Malcom’s reference to her as “mom” and the church lady.
If Jeff and Carter had only joined RC and Penner in voting for Pete he’d be gone. Nevertheless, I don’t see any weakness in Pete’s tribe going forward and don’t see Mike going elsewhere.
I think that Pete feels pretty good right now with where they are — with the core of himself, Abbie with her ii, Lisa, and Artis. When he goes after Malcom — that will be interesting.
So unless Penner finds another ii or wins immunity it should be Penner, Kent and Carter next.
I think there must be a Trader Joe’s nearby as everybody looks well fed, and the Mary Kay lady must be coming by on a regular basis.
